About Me

Hello, I am Sophie. I am 31 years old and have been a nanny for the past 8 years in London, working for various families as a daily nanny.
I have worked for my most recent family for 6 years and unfortunely due to the children getting older they no longer require the same hours caring for the children. I am currently looking for a nanny/childcare job back in or around my hometown of Scunthorpe. I have a full driving licence and I am happy to travel for an hour to and from a nanny job.
I have very much been part of the family with both the children and parents with the families I have worked for and I am hoping to find the same again.
Although I haven’t listed my DBS and first aid certificate I will be updating them both in the near future.

I should also add that I do have my own child, he is currently three years old, and I would love for him to slot into another little family as he has done with my current family.

As I have stated above I have been working with children for a number of years now in all different childcare environments from nurseries to schools and child development centres etc.

I have previously gained my CACHE level 3 in childcare and education and then went on to study Playwork (Ba Hons) at Leeds Metropolitan University.

I am a down to earth person and I am just looking for a job which I feel would be beneficial to both me and the child/children which I am caring for, I have a genuine love for working with children and would love to be given the opportunity to continue my nannying career with another family.

Sophie has been the most wonderful nanny to our two children for the last six years. She has looked after our youngest child (Theo) since he was born in 2015 (when Petra, the elder, was 2) and has become an indispensable part of the family. Throughout that time, she has proved utterly trustworthy, reliable (she is never late) and diligent.

She is kind, gentle and imaginative and has succeeded in creating the most nurturing and supportive environment for Petra and Theo. She has always gone above and beyond to make sure that they feel loved and encouraged in all they do whilst they are with her. She has taken the children through many of their milestones (from teething and weaning to potty training and homework), all of which she has handled with her usual mixture of commitment and understanding. She is always calm and unflustered, a soothing presence whenever the children have been sick or under the weather.

In addition to being brilliant with the children she is also an enormous help in keeping a busy house with two lively children under control. She has been present to direct numerous repair men and painters and has always made sure that the house is immaculate when we return from work. She is also an accomplished cook who has prepared nutritious meals for the children. In addition, over the past year, Sophie has also prepared delicious suppers for us on the days the children have both been at school.

We will miss Sophie enormously, the only reason that we have had to part company is because our child care requirements are changing. Whoever employs Sophie will be enormously lucky, they will have found someone extremely special to look after their children.
