My name is Sarah, and I have a 14 year-old daughter. I've been childminding 13.5 years
I offer a loving, caring, home from home environment, and hope to work really closely with you to ensure your child gets all the care and support they need to nurture them, and develop them as confident individuals. I encourage good manners, good behaviour, and high self-esteem to ensure your child becomes confident and independent and provide lots of cuddles and laughs to make sure they are happy.
We do free play and focused play, all age appropriate, trips to the park, the beach, farms, woods, and play centres. Arts, crafts, and singing. We have constant singing and dancing to encourage learning in ways children love. Story time is fun and interactive. We grow caterpillars to butterflies and learn about the world around us all the time. As they grow, I teach phonics, name spelling, writing, etc, so they are ready for school. I encourage self care and independence, such as getting dressed and shoes on toilet training.
We have themed days/weeks for things like world book day, scarecrow walks, and we raise money for charities by doing sponsored dancing or age appropriate challenges. We celebrate a diverse range of celebrations like Chinese New Year, Easter, and the festival of light, etc, and encourage diversity and inclusion in all aspects. We celebrate birthdays with a party and cake and a Christmas party with a visit from Father Christmas.
I have 2 purpose built playrooms as well as my lounge area for play, various areas to sleep, a garden, and a large kitchen.
I am in regular contact throughout the day with you, using whatsapp, with updates and photos, and If your child is under 5, i provide the EYFS curriculum, that fully supports your childs development until they go to school. I am excited about being a part of your childs life, and I take great care, responsibility, and pride in doing this to the best of my ability.
I follow the same OFSTED rules and regulations as a nursery in every way, with the main difference being that I provide care in my home, and there are fewer children. My ratios are in line with ofsted rules, whether I am alone or with my two co-childminders.

I have a clear and recent dbs check.
I am fully insured.
I have up to date paediatric first aid qualification
I have 2 ofsted approved co-childminders that work for me dbs checked, first aid trained and insured.
I am a member of the local childminder support group INCA. (ipswich north childminding association)
I have level 3 diploma in childcare, peaditric first aid, food hygiene and safe guarding children awards. I have completed the EYFS course, and have completed the observation course. I also completed a confidence and well being course, and living with babies course. I attended a course focused on a positive approach to behaviour, and being two is special. I recently attended a course focused in developing children's speech and communication skills, and makaton. I'm PECS trained, trained on leadership, and currently doing another nvq in childcare.
I also have lots of non childcare related qualifications, such as a nvq level 3 in retail,
I have 9 GCSE's all graded A's to C's, to include A in English, and C in maths.
I have 2 A'levels in geology and environmental science.
Grade 5 piano, grade 4 theory of music.

My daughter has been with Sarah since she turned 2 , Sarah is very flexible as I work unsociable hours and it’s never a problem and always goes above and beyond , even supporting myself I couldn’t have asked for a better person , a beautiful kind heart always there for us. my daughter is always excited to go and comes out with a new drawing or something she’s made for a keepsake which is always so beautiful to have.
& she also collects my other son from school & he loves being in Sarah care both my children do long hours and never complain always so happy. She’s just not just a childminder she has become a big part in myself and my children’s life. And helped them grow 🫶🏼❤️

My son marley has been attending for a few months now and he is always happy from when I drop him off to when I pick him up.He gets excited when we pull up outside.
Lovely home calm setting..
Sarah always take the kids out to park etc and always keeps me updated with what marley is doing through the day which is lovely to see..
so proactive and enthusiastic about her job and so helpful..Will use her along as possible.. brilliant

Sarah is the best!!! And Amy as well ☀️! My little boy it's almost 2 years old and it's going at Sarah since 11 months.
I'm really happy that I choose Sarah to take care of my little boy.
Matei loves Sarah a lot and all the things what he is doing over there.
He is very happy and having a good development.
It's really helping us at this stage when he needs to receive a proper guide to grow up 🙏🏼

Sarah and Amy have been looking after my son since he was 11 months. He was a lockdown baby and had never been left with anyone. Sarah was very reassuring updating us regularly with how he was getting on. Plenty of cuddles were given when he was particularly upset for the first weeks which really helped me knowing he was being comforted. He's been going for 4 months and is very settled. We have really noticed he is much more sociable and less wary of new people now. Sarah is always able to offer advice and her and Amy are very friendly.

Being a covid baby my son was unable to mix with other children so when starting with Sarah he was very nervous. Since being in Sarah's care his fears have gone and I've seen him learn to communicate with other adults and children, his confidence has grown and his really developed. Sarah has always been kind and updated us on everything and I can see her and my son have really bonded. Her assistant Amy is also lovely and always friendly. Would recommend

My daughter has been going to Sarah's since September 2020, and Sarah has always been very accommodating and flexible providing help whenever she can.
Sarah offers a great environment for all children and although my daughter is only 1 year old, she enjoys many different activities that Sarah offers. At drop off and pick up times, all children appear to be happy and really enjoying themselves.
Sarah is in regular communication at all times so we feel we know exactly what is happening on any given day. Sarah has also adapted her procedures regarding Covid-19 to ensure we feel we are dropping our child off to a safe environment.
We would not hesitate to recommend Sarah to anyone, for parents of both younger and older children.

Our daughter started with Sarah in January. She was only 10 months old and it seemed like such a milestone handing our baby over to someone else. But Sarah was so kind and welcoming when we met to discuss childcare requirements it made it easier. We were anxious but the regular photo updates throughout the day eased our anxieties. Since starting with Sarah we have noticed so much developmental improvement with our daughter. She's really progressing well.
Sarah is regularly doing things with the children including fund raising for red nose day and world book day activities.
Recently Sarah has offered extra help because of the schools being closed. As a key worker I would definitely have appreciated this because I cannot work from home.
I would definitely recommend. Our daughter has really settled in and choosing a home environment over a nursery was definitely the right choice. Thanks Sarah!

Sarah has been soooo accomodating with us. I work on a shift system at work and she has literally taken the stress out of my childcare worries. When i leave my son with her i have absolutely no anxiety or worries at all. She is friendly and so kind and caring which makes the whole experience effortless. I can not thank her enough for her flexibility she is just without a doubt a brilliant childminder and i would recommend her to anyone who needs flexibilty. My son is happy and comfortable and i couldnt ask for more. Thank you sarah. We need more childminders like you!!!!!.
