About Me
My name is Linda Playford and I have lived in Lee, very near to both Lee and Hither Green train station's, since August 1991.
I am a registered Ofsted childminder and was recently graded as 'Good' during my last inspection.
I work Monday - Wednesday only but potentially opportunities for childcare before and after school.
I can collect from St Winifred's school and Colfes.
I attend playgroup three times a week and also go to the park as well as occasionally other venues like the zoo, theatre or cinema. Other activities include creative play with the children and I provide them with a variety of toys and books. During the week I cook a balanced and healthy diet, which includes food from different cultures to encourage the children to try new flavours. All activities are planned in line with the EYFS and promote children's ongoing development.
Additionally the house is non-smoking and we have no pets.

My Experience
I am currently an Ofsted registered childminder, have previously been a foster carer for eight years and have experience of caring for children for over 25 years.
For the past 15 months I have been childminding a two year old girl full time and have also been looking after other young children aged between four to ten years, before and after school.
At present all the children I have looked after have been long-term and the full-time vacancies exist because they now go to school. I also keep in contact with children I have previously looked after but are now at secondary school.

Linda has looked after my daughter for 8 months. She absolutely loved going there! The house is set up perfectly for the children to engage in lots of different activities and is always clean and safe. Linda has a great Garden for the children to play in. Linda takes the children to the local playgroup which gives them a great opportunity to socialise with other children. Linda was always kind and caring to the children - I never had any concern with the care provided, Also the location of Linda's property is ideal for parents/carers who are travelling to London via Lee station.

Linda has looked after our son for a couple of years until he has started preschool. She is an amazing childminder, very kind and caring. She has a lovely house full of toys and books and a beautiful large garden with lots of outdoor toys. Linda did a lot of interesting activities with our son like arts and crafts, visits to the park and playgroups, cooking and baking, reading and playing. Linda is very attentive and cares to every child’s individual needs. She used to send us lovely photos of our son daily and kept us up to date with their daily activities. We would highly recommend Linda to any parents that are looking for a caring and experienced childminder in the area.

We were very lucky to have found an amazing childminder Linda to look after our son Lucas then 18months until he was nearly 3years old. He had found it difficult to settle in a mainstream nursery setting but Lindas homely environment and her kind caring nature made him feel safe and happy. It really is a home away from home. Linda has many years experience and is very flexible to parents and a child's individual requirements.
Her home environment and garden is a child's dream full of toys and different activities which linda changes frequently. Lucas thrived there with baking activities, arts and crafts, music and dance, story time, playgroups and park visits, with the added bonus of Interacting with other childminders so that lucas had lots of exposure to social environments which is key to a child's development. We had daily picture updates of his activities which was lovely and reassuring to see. Linda is generous and loving and I could not recommend her highly enough.

We were very lucky to find Linda as Childminder for our daughter, Linda looked after her for a couple of years and it was a great experience. Linda is very kind and caring, she has an amazing setting, where children feel safe and supported, a real home for home experience. Our daughter never cried once when we dropped her off and was always happy and excited to set off in the morning. Linda structures the day with a lot of different activities, she visits playgroups, meets with other childminders, visits the park, some local farms and so on. She has a beautiful garden full of toys and games where the children can spend a lot of their time. She often sends parents pictures of the children's activities throughout the day, a great way to keep us involved. We would strongly recommend Linda, she was great for us and our daughter misses her a lot!

Linda is an amazing, lovely and caring childminder. She has looked after our daughter since she was 8 months old until she turned three. We are really glad that she was recommended to us by our neighbours.
Linda has provided a wonderful warm family environment and ensured our daughter was always exposed to activities and experiences that were funny, creative and fundamental to the development of her skills as a baby and toddler.
Linda has got a lovely house, with a spacious play area full of toys and a nice garden. She goes to playgroups, parks, farms, other childminder’s houses, parties, etc.
Linda is a reliable, kind and pleasant person. No need to say that my daughter had a lot of fun with Linda and was always looking forward to seeing her. We are grateful for what Linda has done for our daughter and we highly recommend her to any parents looking for a caring childminder.

Linda has been a wonderful childminder. Our little boy spent six months with her from aged 2.5 to 3 and she provided a warm and welcoming home-from-home environment. Initially he hadn’t spent much time with other children and was a bit hesitant. We have seen a wonderful growth in his confidence during his time with Linda. She has a great house and garden for children to play in and she mixes this with regular trips to a playgroup organised with other childminders in the area. She is very caring and keeps parents well updated with lovely photos throughout the day. She also involves the children in a great variety of activities including decorating cupcakes, making cards and painting. I would highly recommend Linda to any parent looking for a kind and caring childminder in the Lee area.

Linda looked after our little boy for a year and we were incredibly lucky to have found her. She cared for him as if he was part of her family and filled his days with fun and love, taking him out and about and mixing with other children. She has a very happy home and lots of great toys and activities for the children, and she rotates them to keep things fresh and exciting. My little boy has had a wonderful summer playing outside in Linda’s beautiful garden with all the fun things she has out there. She is reliable and helpful and just an all round lovely person. We couldn’t have found a better childminder and we’ll all miss her very much.

Linda is a fantastic childminder and I am so glad that she is looking after my girls. We moved to the UK about 6 months back (from India) and were not very sure about which childminder or nursery to pick for our 2 years old twin girls who are still in the process of learning English. Thankfully we found Linda through Netmums. My girls have started talking and understanding english and love being around Linda. They are always looking forward to going to their playgroup in the morning. Linda takes them our for various activities like playgroup, park, parties at a friends place, cinema etc. We are very happy with her. Would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a loving and caring childminder.
