My Summary
About Me
Hello and thank you for looking at my profile.
I have been a childminder for the last 8 years and have over 20 years childcare experience. I previously worked as a private nanny for a lovely family in South Kensington looking after their 3 children for 8 years. I adored watching the kids grow and was very sad to leave them. They became my extended family. (I left to have my son) Before that, whilst I studied for my CACHE diploma L3 in Childcare and Education I worked as a Learning support assistant in a primary school in London Waterloo. I loved this role and worked closely with 2 special needs children. One with autism, and one with cerebral palsy. So I gained first hand experiences working with parents, or external support staff.
I was often left with the class to take the register, or to set them up for activities therefore I’m confident in looking after children of all ages and have experience from birth to teens.
I feel it’s very important to work closely with the parents of the children I mind, so we together can help to develop your child in the best possible way.
I use a babysdays system where all my policies, contracts, register, and invoicing is done. You will have log in details to access this app when the contract is drawn up.
On a day to day basis I keep in contact with parents through a WhatsApp chat. I will upload photos of what the children have eaten, or videos of the childrens day. I’ve had great responses from parents that this works well for them, as they are able to see their children and how happy they are, whilst they are away from them.
After having my son who is now 10, I decided it would be best for me to take care of him myself, than return to nannying. It’s been the best decision I’ve made, and I love being a childminder. I love the rewards it brings, seeing the children grow and develop, and building a loving relationship with the children. I enjoy encouraging them and making them feel special.
My daughter is 8, and has taken after me with her love for babies and children! She loves to help out when she’s home from school, either by playing with them or helping me set up another activity. My children attend the local school which is a 3 minute walk away, so your children will not be out on long walks to do pick ups or drop offs.
I can offer you a home from home experience with lots of fun, games, activities, experiences and age and stage appropriate developmental activities.
We spend the morning going out to a playgroup, library, singing sessions, museums or a walk to the park or another outings of some kind. We work on our phonics, name writing, letter formation and numbers before heading out. Then in the afternoon after nap time and school run it’s free play activities as my children come home from school.
We have 1 large dog, who is a playful German Shepherd. Shes been brought up in the family home and around the minded children. Shes very gentle, and also loves a game of ball with the children! We also have 3 cats who are not very present in my working environment.
Even though we have animals, they are most likely outside of the working room during the day. I have had many children start my setting who have been scared of dogs, but because of our dog, they are no longer scared of dogs or worried if a dog approaches them in a park.
I work from my kitchen/diner in my house which is open plan. It’s a large room which is nice and bright, with lots of natural light. As this is my family home, I do not have posters with numbers and alphabets on the walls, even with my own children growing up we didn’t have this. However I have many different stimulating toys that I rotate continuously during the day. The children also have access to choose what they would like to play with from the toy cupboards.
We don’t spend much time at home as we are out every morning, home for lunch, then most likely a nap in the afternoon.
The children sleep in a travel cot upstairs or in the front room.
I’m the kind of person who loves to get out as much as I can, and take as many opportunities as I can to develop the children whilst we are out.
I believe children learn through play and routine, therefore I stick to the routine as much as I can.
I provide all meals and snacks for the children in my care, and all outings, playgroups and petrol is included in my hourly rate which is £6.50
I have been inspected twice by Ofsted in the last 8 years, with both gradings being "good"
My Experience
I have 16+ years Childcare experience. 3 years were spent in a primary school, as a Learning Support Assistant for a physically disabled child, an autistic child and a classroom assistant. Then the last position before childminding I had been a private nanny.
My Qualifications
I have a DCE L3 CACHE diploma in Childcare and education. I have also completed a level 2 food safety course, first aid in the work place, and paediatric first aid as well as numerous safeguarding and other courses with Bexley Council.

We couldn’t have asked for a better childminder for Hugo. From the very first day, Nancy created a warm, nurturing, and fun environment where he was not only cared for but truly thrived. It was clear she genuinely cared about his well-being and development, providing a balance of play, learning, and comfort that made Hugo feel right at home.
The love and attention Hugo received were second to none, and we always felt completely at ease knowing he was in such capable hands. Communication was excellent, keeping us updated on Hugo’s progress and activities, which gave us so much confidence as parents - we loved the daily photos :).
The only reason we made the difficult decision to leave was to give Hugo the chance to join a nursery and be part of a larger group. We are forever grateful for the wonderful care, and we wholeheartedly recommend them to any parent looking for a trustworthy, dedicated, and truly exceptional childminder.

Thank you so much to you both. It was lovely working with you all, and Hugo is very much missed in our setting. Wishing you all the very best xx
Nancy is a very thoughtful and caring child minder who goes over and above to make sure the children in her care are safe, happy and having a great time. She takes them out regularly to the library, play groups, soft play, the park etc. Within her setting, she provides a wide array of activities both inside and outside. Nancy’s communication is excellent both face-to-face and over WhatsApp where she shares videos and photos of the day. She provides all meals, snacks and drinks that are healthy and adapted as and when needed. Her setting is always clean and welcoming.
Both my girls loved going to Nancy’s and had the best time. I felt happy at work knowing that they were with someone so nice and caring.
I would highly recommend Nancy.

Thank you so much for a lovely review. Xx
My son spend the summer with her and I have the best relationship regarding all the activities they have done, where my son was in all moment, when he was sleeping or eating or playing. Also, she was there everytime my son it was sick and support me to continue with my studies. This was my first time with a childminder and the experience it was amazing in all aspects and nothing to disagree. This was the best summer of my son knowing new people, learning new skills, enjoying activities, discover and live new adventure.

I couldn't be more grateful to Nancy, she is so kind and lovely and she have so much patience 🙏
Nancy has taken care of my daughter since she was 23 months old, till now that she is nearly 4 years old.
Nancy has helped my daughter a lot to develop her vocabulary in English, since we speak another language at home. I am very happy that my daughter can communicate well in two languages and it is partly thanks to Nancy.
My daughter really enjoys goes to Nancy's, house, because they do a lot of different activities during the day, she absolutely love Nancy.
Nancy always keeps me informed of everything they do during the day, I really appreciate it.
Unfortunately I'm leaving London, and I know my daughter will miss her a lot.

Thank you so much for your review Abigail. I’m really glad you and your daughter have been happy coming to me, and using my services. We will all miss your daughter so much. Please keep in touch! Thank you again x
As a first time anxious mum, Nancy gave me everything I could have asked for.
I don’t live near family or friends so my son was with me constantly for over a year until I had to go back to work so finding someone I could trust with him was so important to me as he had never been left with anyone.
Nancy gave me such reassurance and provided my son with the best care possible.
He loved his days out with Nancy and his friends and I was always provided with updates.
Each day I would pick him up and hear how much of a great day he had and I could see how happy he was when I dropped him off in the mornings.
I found this helped me as I could see how happy he was and how much love and care he was having.
I’ve moved away from London now but if I hadn’t then Nancy would still be the person I would have looking after my children without a doubt.

My son Freddie, has been with Nancy since he was 10 months old and he is now 2 years old. He absolutely loves Nancy, he runs into her arms every morning when I drop him off, and he also loves the family dog, Phoebe :) !! They're always doing something fun, no day is ever the same. Freddie is so happy there and he has learnt so much being with Nancy. I am so grateful to have found someone so nice to look after my son. We are sad to be leaving Nancy, due to moving house - we will miss her so much :( x x

Thank you so much for your lovely review Holly. I’m definitely going to miss you all, and am sad you’re leaving but wish you the very best in your new home. Please keep in touch!! X
Nancy was everything we needed and more. After a particularly bad experience with a childminder when my little boy was 10months old, we somehow found Nancy 2months later. My little boy loved going week in week out to Nancy’s, she cared for him and all of the other children sending through videos of his day, taking him on daily trips to the library, play group, soft play, garden centres and many more. He progressed so quickly in her care and has developed into a loving, intelligent 3 year old. All of the children who Nancy cares for are kind and caring. She provides delicious and nutritious food for the children and her setting is very well equipped with an array of toys and games. Nancy provides a home from home for the children and we would have been lost without her.
Thank you for everything. We miss you a lot.

We have been very happy with Nancy’s childminding.
I had my 2 boys in the big nursery and had doubts with my little girl, who was little more sensitive /attached to me compare than my other 2. Was originally looking for a nanny but then Nancy reached out to me, and I agreed to have a look despite I wasn’t sure the idea of childminding before.
And this turned out to be the best decision and I wouldn’t have it any other way around and would recommend Nancy’s setting without hesitation.
Nancy (and husband) has been treating my daughter as part of her family, and her own two children are amazing with all the children too. Nancy provides a wide, fun range of activities both in her (always well-organised) house and a good variety of outdoor activities.
I strongly believe in responsive, attached parenting, instead of throwing children with bunch of rules, especially with toddlers; And while we do also have structures and boundaries, I believe strong personal connection and communication are on top of everything, good understanding from both sides instead of black and white punishment and rewards (which normally happen in the bigger settings). And Nancy able to meet those needs, being flexible to our personal needs, while also introducing plenty of social skills and many more with her small group.
Excellent communication from Nancy what’s happening throughout her day (with lots of cute pictures) is a big plus too. My daughter is settled and happy and now 3 years in she has developed into a confident, polite, very sensible young girl with a lot of compassion for others.
We ‘graduated’ Nancy now and she’s off to the big school. Well done Nancy, we can’t thank you enough.

Thank you so much Amanda, I will miss not working with you and your family very much, but so happy ill get to see your daughter at school every day!
Nancy looked after our twins and we have to say, her attention to detail with them is amazing. She really cares about the children she looks after and provides great feedback to parents during the days she is caring for them. Nancy prepares all of her meals from scratch. She provides a lovely home environment away from home and the twins have loved her caring for them. She’s great! Recommend her without hesitation.

Nancy has been absolutely wonderful with our son Alfie. He has been with Nancy since April 2022 and although he only attends 1 day a week, from that very first day he has settled seamlessly. Nancy is so kind and caring. She really understands how to help children achieve their full potential while making every experience fun. Alfie loves to come home and tell us all the things Nancy has taught him, from recognising the first letter of his name to hopping on one leg. Alfie is always so happy to go and play at Nancy’s house. She takes them out every session and he always has the best day. Nancy is great at keeping us up to date with how Alfie’s day has been sending us lots of photos and videos of the different things he has done. After having a previously less positive experience with another childminder Nancy really has restored our faith in great childminders. Although Alfie’s time with her has been short, it has been nothing short of wonderful and both Alfie and I will be sad to leave at the end of August. I know that Nancy has set Alfie up so well to cope with his next stage of learning and we shall be forever grateful for this.
