Hi, I’m Laura an Ofsted registered Childminder, I am DBS checked & I am fully insured through PACEY. I have a full clean driving license.
I am creative, fun and caring with a lot of patience.
My hobbies are cooking, arts and crafts, films, walks and eating out x
I live in Thatcham in a quiet cul-de-sac situated in Kennet Heath with my husband Steve and our daughter, She's 12 years old and is apparently going to work with me as a childminder when she is older.
We have a gorgeous boxer puppy called Roxie, we got her when she was 8 weeks old so has been bought up with children, she is crate trained and goes on morning walks with a our dog walker
We also have a 23 year old daughter who visits a lot with our Grandson x
Our home is warm, safe and spacious with opportunities for messy play, reading and playing with toys as well as enjoying the nearby park and nature walks.

I have been a 'good' registered Ofsted childminder for 10 years, I also have a lot of parenting experience which I feel is invaluable, and regularly attend courses and complete online course

Laura has had my little one for over a year. My child has always been looked after, thoroughly loved and she has excelled in her development stages.
The children are taken to groups, parks, play centers and they always have learning activities to do and have so much fun.
Laura is not just a fantastic childminder to my childminder but she has been a great support for me and my partner. She goes above and beyond for everyone.
We are moving out of the area but I wish I could pick up Laura and take her with us!

As a first time mum when I first found Laura, I was so nervous going back to work and leaving my child with a stranger. But Laura made me feel so at ease, gave me so much support and followed my routine as much as possible to provide him a home from home environment. She was our childminder for 3 years all the way up until my son started school. He was so shy and struggled being away from me, I worried about the idea of him ever going to school. But with her help, he has come along leaps and bounds, he is sociable, easily makes friends and now has so much confidence away from his parents. I honestly could not recommend her enough!

Laura provides a home from home for all of the children in her care. My daughter Esme absolutely loves Laura, Laura’s family and all of the friends she has made whilst being there. I have never worried for a minute while Esme has been with Laura and I am honestly so happy we found her.
Everyday the children are provided with stimulating, fun activities and have an amazing day together. Laura promotes learning and independence in a positive way and my daughter is thriving in her care.
Laura has always gone above and beyond to provide the best service she can and I would recommend her 100%.
Esme (and me) will be very sad when it is time to move on to school.

Having relocated to the area from Oxfordshire, and having taken on a full time job, I found myself needing a child minder for my 9 year old daughter-Layla.
I was given Laura's details, and called straight away
We arranged an initial meeting at Laura's home- where she could meet Layla and discuss my requirements. Layla has always been quite clingy and I was worried how she would be as she has never had to have after school care, but Laura was very caring, and made a lot of effort to make sure Layla was happy and felt at ease.
Layla settled in instantly, and she loves going to there- she even insisted on going for a full day during half term- which for me was lovely as I have always had problems with Layla not wanting to go anywhere.
When Layla first started going to Laura's, Laura for the first few days made sure I was aware that Layla was fine- she sent me updates, and reassured me, I trust Laura fully, and have no worries at all about leaving my daughter in her care.
Laura provides a lovely welcoming home, and she is always doing some kind of activity with the children, Layla is always telling me about all the fun things they have done when I pick her up, Layla is always happy when she comes home from Laura's, and never complains about going there.
I'm very lucky to have a child minder that is reliable, who my daughter feels comfortable with. Highly recommended.

I was amazed how quickly my 10 month old son settled. This was due to the fact that Laura offers a safe, stimulating, fun and welcoming home and garden, for any child to thrive and learn. Right from day 1, I can say, he has loved going there. This made my decision to go back to work so much easier. She even goes that extra mile to send me photos during the day to update me what he has been up to. He always has a big smile on his face. Laura offers such a range of sensory play, along with activities and visits to playgroups, parks and so much more. From making father day cards to jelly messy play. All this helps with his interaction with other children from a young age. I am so lucky to have Laura as a childminder, she is so friendly, kind, loving and professional. Ever since my son started, he his constantly encouraged to develop all areas of learning and praised. I could not ask for anything more from Laura. She is truly one remarkable lady, very approachable and a very good listener. I receive a diary everyday of all the activities he has done for that day. I very highly recommend Laura and trust her with my child.
