Hi, I am an ofsted registered childminder who offers school pick up & drop off from Tavistock infants, & All saints junior school with spaces available.
Holiday cover is also available.
I aim to provide a safe caring and fun homely enviroment for the children in my care to learn, play & grow in.
I have 2 children of my own, a boy who attends Court moor & a bubbly little girl who attends All saints.
I love being outside with the children & enjoy visiting parks, duck ponds, farms & going on woodland walks with them to ensure they get fresh air & pysical activity daily in the school holidays.
We also do arts & crafts/ sand & water play/ baking / music & messy play.
I have a secure garden with a summer house where the children are able to access thier choice of toys so they can enjoy & learn through child led play
I am friendly and reliable and will be there to support you and your child through thier very important early years.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder, & a member of PACEY & H.C.M.A for nearly 6yrs. In this time I have had experiance with all ages babies, toddlers & school age.
Refernces are available from parents who currently use or have used my childminding services.
I also have 13yrs experience through looking after my own children age 13 & 7yrs
My Qualifications
I have my first aid certificate,
food saftey & health & hgyiene certificate
i.c.p ( Introduction to childcare practice- home .)
Level 3 diploma in homebased childcare.
I am a network childminder offering early yeras education..
My Availability
I work Mon-Friday 7.30-6pm.
I am able to provide part time/ full time cover,
also school drop off & pick up at All saints Junior school & tavistock infants..
I aim to be as flexible as possible & am willing to consider needs outside of these times,

Karen looked after my son Jamie from March 2011 to May 2013 (aged 10months to 3 years). During this time he learned to walk, talk, feed himself, dress himself, use the toilet, and he grew into a happy adventurous young boy. He is definitely an outside child and thrived on the experiences that Karen gave him from regular visits to the duck pond, Wellington Country Park, play groups, and many more trips. He always looked forward to going to Karen and learned a lot about interacting with other children there.
Obviously we hit some obstacles and had some phases of difficult behaviour to deal with from Jamie during this time but Karen was always very clear and consistent with communication of Jamie's behaviour. This made it easy for us to discuss and come up with a plan together to ensure that Jamie was getting the same treatment with Karen as he was at home.
I definitely feel that Karen was the right person for Jamie to go to and felt extremely safe and confident that my child was getting the care he needed and deserved whilst I was at work.
I have recently had another child and moved out of the area meaning that Jamie has come out of childcare but if it wasn't for that I would definitely still have her as my childminder.
