About Me
Hi - my name is Emily Garner and I'm an Ofsted registered insured childminder located in Crosshills. I live with my husband in our own home which is a happy and friendly child-centred environment where all children and their parents/carers are made very welcome.
I have a large play room for the children to play in and the whole of the ground floor is used for childminding. The outside garden is safe and secure, with plenty of play equipment.
I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and provide a wide range of equipment to facilitate the children’s learning.
All the children have access to a wide selection of toys, games , puzzles and craft resources, plus regular story time , singing, music, baking and outdoor play. I encourage imaginative play.
I organise visits to local parks ,library, and toddler group so the children can learn and socialise with other children , to stimulate learning as well as satisfy a child's growing curiosity about the world.
I provide children in my care with balanced nutrional food as well as healthy snacks
My Experience
I have been a childminder since June 2009 , but have had many years of experience as a qualified Nursery Nurse working with babies and children of all ages 0-5 years + since qualifying in 2002. I have also cared for my nephews since they were newborns.
