My Summary

My Experience

I have worked closely with the Early Years Foundation Stage. I understand the Framework and the importance of why we need to help the children reach their developmental targets in all seven areas. I am able to plan for a structured day. I have gained knowledge and experience through 15 years working with children of all ages. I have worked hard within a team and also on my own to create fun and thriving environments.

For the past four years I have been a nanny caring for two children who are now 8 and 6. I have also set up my own playgroup which runs every Thursday called Little Blue Stars. Previously I have worked for three nurseries, spending ten years with one nursery, where I completed my training and became room leader for the toddler room and senior nursery nurse. This required me to plan and organise activities for the children and have oversight of the team I worked with. I have had a small amount of experience working with venerable children. I am patient, kind and respect everyone's cultures, beliefs and religion. I also understand the important to safeguarding.

I have Level 2 and 3 childcare qualifications, excellent understanding of the Early Years Foundation stage and work with key stage 1 and 2 on a daily basis at home with the children. In addition I have my full first aid certificate and a current DBS.

I love children to feel proud of their own achievements, and helping them believe in themselves, confidence goes a long way in a child's learning and once they start believing then they start understanding and then they start achieving and enjoy learning.

Working in parentship with parents is very important for the children. The child benefits because they feel safe and know they can talk to anyone if their was a problem. Inviting the parents into my environment is great too, as then the child and parents can share their experiences together.

My Qualifications

I have Early years in childcare and learning development level 3, i have a current first aid certificate and 15 years experience in childcare.

I am adaptable regarding hours, days.

• Nannying from £7.50 per hour (gross)
