My Experience

I have worked in childcare since 1997 when I successfully completed the NNEB Diploma in Nursery Nursing. My first role was as a nursery nurse in a private day nursery. I worked with children aged 0-5 years. I was supervisor of the baby room and toddler room at this setting.

After 5 years I transferred to another nursery in the same company as I was promoted to Deputy Manager and a year later I was promoted to the Nursery Manager. I supervised the toddler room and pre-school room at this setting before becoming manager. I worked with all age groups as a manager.

I became a childminder after the birth of my 2nd child and have been minding since Dec 2007.

My Qualifications

In 1997 I qualified as a level 3 NNEB Diploma in Nursery Nursing.

In 2007 I graduated for the level 5 Foundation Degree in Early Years which I studied with Leeds Metropolitan University for 3 years.

I currently hold a First Aid qualification and regularly refresh this training.
I also hold a Child Protection, Health and Safety and Food Hygiene certificate.

I continuously update my knowledge and training by accessing online training and also attending short courses through City of York Council.

My Availability

Monday - Thursday 8am-5.30pm

I drop off and pick up at Clifton with Rawcliffe School.

My Fees

• Childminding from £5.00 per hour

£43 per day

Before school session - £6.00

After school session - £11.00
