About Me
My name is Sandra, I am a Ofsted Registered Childminder, working in my own home. I years married with three grown up children & 3 grandchildren . We also have a very friendly Cavalier King Charles spaniel.
II offer a range of educational and fun activities, messy play, trips out beach, play park and local drop in groups.
I am also able to offer 15/30 funded hours where eligible.
My Experience
I have been registered since 1993 originally in the Croydon area, but took a short break of 2 years between 2002 & 2004, and during this time, we moved to Hastings, where I began childminding again for a few years. I then spent a couple of years working in nursery’s in the baby, toddler & pre school age groups. I am NVQ level 3 qualified, and have also completed various courses & workshops, such as Introduction to Childminding practice, EYFS, Health & safety, Child protection & Paediatric First Aid Course.
I have been fully inspected by OFSTED, am insured & myself, husband and children are fully DBS checked.

My youngest daughter was at Yellow House for approx 10 months before she started preschool somewhere more local to where we live. She settled in quickly thanks to Sandras gentle and nuturing approach and was soon happy to say goodbye to me and enjoy her day. The house is really nicely laid out with lots of toys and there always seem to be a wide variety of activities on offer. My daughter formed a close bond with Sandra and her daughter Abi and made some sweet friendships with other children there, and If I lived closer I would definitely still be using Yellow House for my daughter.

Yellow house childcare was recommended to me by a friend. My daughter has been going once a week for the last 9 months starting when she was just 9 months old. I have always felt very comfortable leaving her with Sandra and Abbie knowing she will be well cared for and happy. My little one has grown in confidence over her time with Sandra and does a wide range of interesting and appropriate activities when she is there. Daily communication with parents is excellent and Sandra and Abbie go out of their way to ensure the children are happy and settled. I have also recommended Sandra and Abbie to friends looking for childcare.

From the moment we stepped into the Yellow House 18 months ago, we knew that it was the right place for our daughter. Sandra and her daughter Abbie are incredibly welcoming, approachable and caring and have wonderful relationships with all the children they look after, as well as the parents.Our little one loves going to the Yellow House and we are happy and at ease to leave her with Sandra. Our daugther has gained a lot of confidence and improved her social skills from spending time at the Yellow House. We are very happy that we've found Sandra and her family!
I fully recommend the Yellow House for childcare!!

My daughter has been excellently cared for by Sandra for the past 18 months. She started at the yellow house when she was 11 months old. I felt nervous leaving her as she had always been with me up to this point. Sandra was very kind and caring- to both of us!! She was always told me honestly how She had been. it took a few days for my daughter to settle but I always felt reassured that Sandra was patient and spent a lot of time holding her.
Sandra has always followed my daughters routines with regard to sleeping, eating and has never complained about her reusable nappies.
Recently I saw my daughters learning story, even though I am not concerned about progress at this age, it was lovely to see and read about all the things she does at the yellow house. I could also see that the activities that Sandra set out were varied and developmentally appropriate to the stages she was at.
I definitely recommend the yellow house!!

Since sending our little one to Sandra he has gained great confidence and always comes home so happy.
She provides such a loving and caring environment to which you always feel at home.
We couldn't be happier for the way she has encouraged our little one to develop new skills and into developing into a very kind boy.
I would 100% recommend Sandra to anyone who is in need of a childminder, we love that we have found you !!

Sandra is more than highly recommended. Sandra has looked after my son since he was 1 he is now 4. Sandra is a fantastic childcminder. My son has bloomed fantastically. Sandra goes to the park with him and he has alot of outside leaning play as well as inside. Each day I'm amazed the imagination my son has and the new things he tells me. He is pleased to go and loves being with her. I work long days and there is no one I would rather leave my son with. Sandra makes me feel included in him every day, I get picture and other things he makes and I am told or read his diary of what hes been up to. I love the pictures and the privacy of the other childrens( faces in any pictures are blured.) Sandra thank you for having a very welcoming environment and I can see in so many ways why my little man loves coming to yours even so much he huffs when its the weekend. Big thank you.

Cannot fault in any way. Very friendly and my daughter settled in well, which was a task as she was very clingy!! Daily written updates on what had gone on throughout the day and lot's of photo's which clearly showed what a happy environment it was and that my daughter was happy there.
Very accommodating when I was having to swap hours around and nothing was too much trouble.
Was very lucky to have found Yellowhousechildcare and would recommend to anyone looking for childminding services.

Sandra is an amazing child minder. She looked after my son from 9 months until he was nearly 3. My son loved going to Sandra's and has become a confident clever boy.
Sandra's home is very welcoming and the kids are always treated as part of her family. It's warm and friendly and inviting.
Sandra welcomes to kids in and if they are upset she spends some time with them and calmly gets them involved in activities in their own time.
I would highly recommend Sandra as a child minder. She is enthusiastic and loves her work which can be seen. She has a good bond with all the children she child minds and is always helpful and happy to support parents and children.

Sandra is highly recommended. She has been looking after my daughter since she was 1 year and while in her care has developed very well. Sandra always undertakes activities with the children in her care and explores areas of creativity even I wouldn't have thought of! Me and my Husband always receive updates in various ways whether it is our Daughters daily log, creative work, development folder to look at or pictures (of course with childs faces omitted) so we dont feel we are missing out on anything. Our Daughter loves going to Sandras and we can see why on so many levels. Many thanks Sandra, your care towards our Daughter will forever be appreciated!
