So glad we found Syeda

Finding the right care for our 18-month-old daughter wasn’t easy. We knew we wanted a smaller, nurturing environment rather than a large nursery at first. At the same time we also hoped for a place where she could truly learn and grow.

Looking back we are so glad we chose Syeda. She showed endless patience and warmth, her experience and approach helped our daughter settle in.

Our daughter felt really comfortable in the environment there and was showered with so much love and care. What we especially loved was that Syeda made sure the children were always engaged, outings to Hackney Museum, Hackney Library, the library of toys, children’s centres, or visits to the many parks around London Fields.
We saw a beautiful connection grow between Syeda and our daughter. It was clear that Syeda truly cares for each and every child in her care. We couldn’t have asked for a more loving, patient, and experienced childminder. We feel incredibly lucky to have found Syeda, and we know our daughter’s time with her, shaped her in a positive way.

The best ever!

Syeda has a warm and loving environment, she is right next to London Fields so it’s really easy for her to take the kids out each morning, they have lots of outings to the park, farm, museum, library and activities at home on rainy days like painting and making cards or playing in the sandpit and paddling pool in the summer.

Our favourite part of the day was when we received messages with photos of what they all got up to, as well as the practical things like his mood and how much he ate.

Every morning when he was dropped off he would happily wave goodbye to us and just head straight sit on the step ready to take of his shoes then go in to play with his friend and favourite toys. Every afternoon that we picked him up he would be dutifully waiting on the step and was so happy, would give Syeda a cheerful wave goodbye.

We cannot recommend Syeda highly enough, also her assistants Liuba and Khadija are both fabulous too. She is so attentive to the various needs of the children,

Our son was with Syeda from about 11months and is now too old to keep attending Syeda’s wonderful setting and I am so very sad to have to say goodbye.

My husband wanted to add;
How do we even start!? We cannot imagine a more loving, generous, and kind person to have watched our son for the last two years. Our son's days at Syeda's house were full of activities and friends. We knew that we had found the right person when he didn't even have to settle in. He immediately felt comfortable, safe, and clearly looked forward to going again the next day. As parents, Syeda was a great communicator, easy to work with and incredibly dependable. It is with a lot of tears in our eyes, that our son has grown out of her care, into nursery.

A brilliant childminder

A neighbour recommended Syeda to us and I am so glad I took their advice, because she turned out to be the best childminder we could have hoped for. Our daughter went three, and then four days a week from the age of 10-months and it was immediately clear this was a loving, warm and extremely positive environment for children to be in. Syeda's home is comfortable and full of toys but she also encourages the children to be creative, often sending them home with pictures they have drawn, or cards for special occasions. Our daughter loves the trips to the library and the museum and the local childrens centre and her language and communication skills have developed hugely in the year she has been there. Because there are only a few children, they are all given a lot of attention and it's clear to see they form very strong bonds with Syeda and her excellent assistants, but this one-on-one care clearly also helps with their development. Syeda has been very flexible with both my partner and us when we wanted to increase or decrease the number of days, and has always been ready to help when there was an emergency and we couldn't get there on time to pick our daughter up. She even once sent us home with some delicious home cooked food! I could not recommend her more highly to any parents looking for someone to care for their child.

A lovely start

We’ve been with Syeda since our daughter turned one and we stopped this summer, very reluctantly, at 2 and a half to take a nursery place. Our daughter would stand excitedly at the door in the morning and run out at the end of the day with a big smile on her face - this is really all we could wish for. We are very grateful to Syeda - and her lovely team of helpers - for giving our daughter such a lovely, happy start.

Exceptional Childminder

We couldn't be happier with the care our son has received from Syeda. He joined her when he was just 9 months old, and Syeda showed incredible patience and dedication, taking the extra time necessary to help him settle in. As parents, entrusting our child to someone else for the first time can be quite overwhelming, but Syeda really held our hand through the entire process.

Syeda's home, just north of London Fields, boasts a fantastic play space, and she ensures the children have an enriching experience by taking them out every day to various places like playgrounds, Hackney City Farm, and the library. What's truly comforting for us is that she keeps us fully updated with lots of photos and a daily message detailing our son's activities, his sleep schedule, and how he's eating. These updates are a bright spot in our day when we're at work.

Syeda's passion, dedication, and expertise make her an invaluable part of our lives, and we've seen our son thrive under her care. Thank you, Syeda, for being such a wonderful caregiver!

The exact childminder we needed

When our then 18 month old was still struggling to settle at nursery after 6 months there, I was doubtful that moving him to a new place would do anything more than unsettle him further.

How wrong I was. Moving him to be with Syeda was the best childcare decision we (well, my wife) made. The difference in his happiness was clear from the off . Now he's three and moving to pre-school and it's been a joy to watch him blossom whilst being under her care.

It's clear that Syeda has a great bond with all of the kids she looks after and our little one is always excited to go in on a Monday and show her a new toy or tell her which train he's been on over the weekend. The kids go to the park/library/museum every day and when the weather doesn't permit it, he always brings back an art project that Syeda has had him working on.

As well as being great with kids, Syeda has always been super responsive with us and has agreed to evening meetings whenever we've wanted to discuss anything about our son's development with her.

We're truly grateful for how Syeda has looked after our child

The best childminder we could have hoped for

At a very challenging time, right after covid, when our then two-year old was struggling with new people and childcare seemed impossible, Seyda was able to help our toddler settle in just two days. She's loving, caring, gentle but firm when needed, communicates development steps and needs for improvement in collaboration with the parents. Our toddler is a much more able child after a year at Syedas. She has learnt English equally well with her home language, and to deal with complex social interactions, and she's much more active, Definitely thanks to the kids going to the park almost daily. She has truly enjoyed going to "school" daily, and has made her first friends. Our only problem might prove to be that she will miss Syeda dearly when she goes to her new nursery! Thank you for everything.

A loving, fun and educational environment

Our daughter started attending Syeda's setting when she was 11 months old and will be leaving at almost 3 years old soon. First of all our daughter absolutely adores going to Syeda's. I will never forget her running in every morning being excited to see Syeda and all her little friends. Our daughter grew to be a happy, confident and polite little toddler and I know Syeda played a huge part, I will be forever grateful to her for that. Her setting feels more like an extended family, which I didn't think you can find. Syeda is incredibly warm and affectionate with the kids, you can tell they all love her and are thriving in the environment she created. From the start Syeda was always very supportive to us. Being a first time mum and coming back to work after pandemic wasn't easy for me but Syeda's confidence and warmth made the settling in process so much easier! As anyone who is managing being a working parent knows it's not easy but Syeda and her availability, communication and willingness to help have been an incredible support to us. She has a great daily report with parents. We feel very lucky we have found her.

An exceptional childminder

We started taking our daughter to Syeda when she was just turning 1 and she has been the perfect balance between our daughter being at home with us and her being at a big nursery. It feels like a home from home or dropping her off with a family member. Syeda is extremely professional and organised and also very loving and caring with the children she looks after. They do really varied activities together including lots of outings and arts and crafts and Syeda has really enhanced our daughter’s development. It’s been wonderful to have someone we trust so much taking care of our child. We feel really lucky to have found her.

Warm, caring, loving childminder

Our family loves Syeda! My daughter has been with Syeda since she was 7.5 months old and is now 18 months. She loves going to Syeda's every day - and I love being able to go to work knowing that my daughter is well cared for. Syeda and her lovely assistants do all sorts of fun activities with the kids: they go to the park, visit both the library and the toy library, do a variety of art projects, learn fine motor skills using a lot of really creative games (scooping sand with sifters, feeding cornflakes to toy dinosaurs, playing with duckies floating in water, etc.). Because of the variety of activities, and because of Syeda's loving care and patience, our daughter has learned all sorts of great social, verbal, and motor skills in this group. Can't recommend her highly enough. Thanks Syeda, for everything you do!
