About Me
Hi i'm Lisa Credicott (was Dower), I am a registered childminder based in Whitchurch tavistock . I am a busy mum of four children aged between 13 and 28 years. I offer a full time childcare service with my assistants Bethany and Lauren.
I live with my husband Phil who fortunately shares my love of children and is registered as my assistant to help should there be any emergencies. I think I have the best job available. My business name is Cherished Childcare which I feel sums up the way I feel about the children I care for they should all be cherished.
My Experience
I have worked in childcare for the last 28!years and been a registered childminder for 17 years in Tavistock. I childmind all age groups from baby to teenager. I am able to accept government funding for two three and four year olds. I also accept employers vouchers schemes and tax free childcare.
Bethany has worked in childcare for 10 years and is level 3 qualified she is also my daughter so has grown up around children.
Lauren has worked in childcare for 5 years and is also level 3 qualified.
Between us all we have a wealth of experience and all share the same passion for helping the children succeed in their early years.
My Qualifications
NVQ level 3 in childcare and education.
First Aid , Food hygiene, Health and safety.
Safeguarding level 3
Numerous Ofsted courses to help me understand how children develop and what their individual

Monday to Friday 7.30 to 5.30 outside of these hours by arrangement.

Cherished Childcare looked after both of my children from 20 weeks old until my eldest started in Reception in September last year. At that point, we reluctantly moved our younger child into a preschool closer to home to make school pick ups easier. Both of our children miss Lisa, Bethany and Lucy greatly as they have formed very strong attachments to them due to the high quality of care given and the safe and nurturing environment provided. The outdoor space is great and my two were regularly taken out on walks, soft play etc. They are flexible and will always try to help out if there is an emergency - they looked after my eldest overnight on Christmas Eve when I was having my second! I was always very confident that my children were being looked after very well and I feel that Cherished Childcare helped to shape them into the independent and confident characters that they are today.
