My name is Kerrie and I became an Ofsted registered childminder in June 2009.
Kerrie L Childminding is based on the Oakley Vale Estate in Corby and I have lived here since 2004
Having 2 children of my own so I know how important it is to find suitable childcare. Someone who both you and your child feel happy and comfortable with.
I am a small setting that offers a home from home service. I attend various groups in the week and local parks for that outdoor experience.
I am registered to care for six children at any one time (3 under the age of 5 - only one if these can be under the age of 1) and 3 children aged 5-8. Please note I only provide care in my own home .Unfortunately I do not offer a babysitting service and I am not covered to provide overnight care.
My own children have various activities after school and I do my upmost to make sure that these do not effect the children I care for whilst ensuring my own children do not miss out on things because of my job . It is important to me that both the families I work with and my own family are happy x
My Experience
I have two children of my own and so know how important it is to make sure you find the right childcare for your child. We have various local country parks nearby that we visit as well as parks close by for the children to play on the equipment . We have a couple of lakes we visit close to my setting where we can observe the swans, ducks, geese, heron and fish allowing plenty of time for fresh air and exercise.
My home has numerous toys, games and books which help them further develop their learning and I also attend a couple of groups throughout the week which helps children with their social development. I offer something for everyone of all ages.
My Qualifications
* I am a registered with Ofsted (Information available for viewing at meeting)
* Both myself, my husband and my sons are CRB/DBS checked (Document available for viewing at meeting)
* I have an up to date QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (Updated June 2023)
* I have completed the following five common Induction Standard Modules:
Building relationships and communicating with children, young people and
their families
Keeping children and young people safe from harm and Integrated working
Sector specific module: Childminding.
Understanding the principles and values of children and young people
Understanding children and young people's development
