About Me
Im now a mum to 2 children who are in school/nursery full time now and im looking for a part time nanny position as well as looking for any families who may need a babysitter, either weekends or weekday evenings.
Ideally looking for 2-3 days a week.
I enjoy spending time with my family and my close friends, which include going to the cinema or for a quiet meal out. I enjoy travelling and experiencing new cultures and cuisines.
I am a punctual person, who likes to arrive for my shift 15 minutes earlier so as to speak with colleagues and the family members to find out about any changes since I was last in. I’m a reliable and honest worker, and very rarely have days off from work, unless its holiday that’s been booked or I’ve been signed off by the Doctor.
My hobbies include reading a variety of books, and I try to read one book per week. As well as listening to a wide range of music. I enjoy going to gigs and the occasional festival too. I also enjoy going to the cinema and watching films with my friends. Other hobbies of mine include baking cakes, swimming and drawing.
My Experience
I nannied full time from January 2017-July 2020 for a local family. I then spent 3 years working from home with my children until they were school / nursery age and now I'm looking to return to childcare on a part time basis. Prior to that I spent 12 months working aboard Queen Mary 2 and Britannia ships as a member of the youth team. I've cared for children ranging in age between 8 and 17 while being on ships.
I've worked as a Nanny for three years. I spent 18 months working with the same family and then 18 months helping various families on an ad-hoc basis when they have needed it.
I've worked as a Child Minders Assistant for nearly 5 years in Kingston. I looked after the children from 7:45am till 6pm. We would take the children out daily, cook meals for them, do arts and crafts to make displays, have music class once a week etc.
Before this I worked at a Children’s and Family Café in Kingston for nearly 3 years too, where I dealt with customers hand to hand daily, made delivery orders, completed rotas for the staff and trained any new members of the team.
My experience also includes working hands on with children ranging in age from new born to 8 years of age. In doing so, I've become quite confident working with children of these ages as well as building up strong relationships with the parents of the children too.
I also have a younger brother whom I care for regularly and look after in the evenings, as well as doing babysitting for families I have met over the years.
I currently hold a Tussauds Pass and enjoy days out with children at the Aquarium, Zoo and London Attractions.
My Qualifications
I hold a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education.
Paediatric First Aid Trained.
Enhanced DBS checked.
As well as completing some courses with Kingston Council regarding Safeguarding and Children.
I've also completed various training courses with Carnival UK.
