My Summary
About Me
Currently not looking.
Hi, My name is Emily Ball, I am 34 from Hertfordshire. Now a mummy myself to my beautiful happy daughter aged 5. I love working with children and have wanted to since I was the age of 12 if not younger. I feel that I am a friendly jolly person, who is always smiling; I am reliable and have initiative. I adapt well to new situations and am keen to learn through my experiences. My aim is to follow your routines and rules, knowing how important it is for a child to have a set routine. Also for your child to feel safe and secure with me, therefore helping you to relax knowing your child is being cared for. I am willing to do many different activities with your children as I know that it is important for children to have a stimulating environment.

May 2008 - July 2008 - Nursery Placement – Cedar Park Nursery
September 2008 - January 2010 - Cedar Park Day Nursery
I did my nursery placement from college at this nursery and they then went on to give me a permanent position. At Cedar Park I was a part timer working 5 hrs Monday – Friday, floating from rooms with children aged 6 months – 4 years old. I also did the PE planning and teaching for 3-4 year olds. I loved my time at Cedar Park and only left because I thought I would to try Nanning.
March 2010 - May 2011 - Nanny for two girls aged 19 months and 2 years old when started.
When I started my nannying career, I fitted into the families rules and ideas. Some of these are as follows. I planned activities everyday such as, painting, drawing, treasure hunts etc. I provided them with meals and took them to playgroups. I loved this role and still keep in contact they were also my flower girls at my wedding. I left as the girls started Nursery and School.
July 2011 - December 2011 - Nanny for girl aged one year
When working for this family their needs changed a little, I provided meals for the girl and played games, took to playgroup, did some light cleaning and bathed the little girl, sometimes gave her bottle before bed depending what time the parents came home. The reason I had to leave was that the family couldn’t give me the hours I needed.
January 2012 - October 2014 – for a boy aged 4 years and girl aged 2 years
Whilst working with this family I took on the Mothers role, taking to school and picking up, attending to after school activities, having play dates with school friends. I did daily duties including: Laundry, Walking dogs, taking parcels to post office etc. I also did the cooking for the children’s meals. I loved working with this family and made a very close bond, but the kids started full time school and they didn’t require me anymore.
November 2014 - January 2015 - Nanny for 2 girls aged 4 months and 2 years.
I went on to work with another family who are lovely but sadly this job only lasted a few months as the mums hours of work changed so sadly she had to let me go. I had the lovely role of feeding and weaning the baby, bathing her and playing games with both children.
April 2015 - December 2018 - 2 boys aged 2 and 4 years when started.
Maternity - Own child born 22/2/2019
After maternity I went to work with my mother in law as a childminder. We have up to 14 children in one day with 3 adults.
So we are basically a nursery. Children range from 4 months - 7 years. As my daughter is at school now I'm looking for something closer to home if the right position becomes available. Preferably 1-3 days a week.

I found Emily after a long search, I was really looking for someone to care for, play with and keep my my little girls safe and happy. Emily has been absolutely wonderful in my girls, fitted in instantly, has proved totally responsible, kind but with just the right amount of structure to keep everyone in line and has been really inventive with the activities she has undertaken, which can be very hard when it is freezing outside! My daughters aged 3 yrs and 7 months both adore her and she so quickly became part of the family. I am very sad to let Emily go it is only due to a change in my work circumstances and if there was any way I could keep her I absolutely would. I would recommend Emily to anyone and am happy to speak to any potential employer.
