About Me
My name is Julie, I live on the Park Street/Chiswell Green border, St Albans, which is close to junction 21 of the M25 and junction 6 of the M1, so ideal for parents dropping off on their way to work. I provide good quality childcare in a safe and fun environment. My last Ofsted inspection grading was good. I have three grown up children. I have 1 cat. A wide range of activities are offered to ensure the care provided is fun as well as stimulating. We go to the local parks and Toddler Groups regularly, this helps children to develop social skills as well as learning. I also have a Willows Farm & Whipsnade Zoo annual passes. I am fully qualified in first aid, and regularly undertake safeguarding training. I also hold a food hygiene certificate. I accept 9 month, 2 & 3 year old funding and tax free childcare.
My Experience
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder for 18 years, and have cared for many children over that time. I have learnt that all children are different, and have different needs and likes and dislikes. Each child is unique, and my care will be tailored to suit each child, but with careful consideration to ensure that all children are treated equally too. Obviously having had three children of my own, means that I have lots of experience to the highs and lows of parenting, each stage of a child's development brings of different challenges, but I feel that my own experiences have been beneficial in the way I care for other children.
