About Me
Hello there my name is Michelle I am a Ofsted registered childminder. I work with my husband Dave who is my assistants. We have 3 children , 25, 19, 17. I am a registered childminder in the Lings area of Northampton.we have several pet these include 7 chickens 2 gerbils and 1 small dog I have been minding now for over 15 years plus the experience of bring up my my own children and working In the local schools. Both my husband and my oldest son both hold a valid paediatric first aid certificate my husband also has food hygiene training, is aware of all safeguarding, risk assessment and observation procedures and is trained in safeguarding in sport. He plays the guitar and banjo and is excellent with the children.He is also a commitee member and volunteer with the local golf junior section.
We both know makaton sign language and are confident to use it to help promote communication and language skills

My Experience
I have been a registered childminder since feb 2009 and have minded children of all ages. From birth to 15 years old as well as bringing up my own 3 children.
Previous to registering I worked for the local primary school.
My special need experience includes working in SEN schools, helping bring up by autistic brother, volunteering at the local mencap group and childminding children with varying needs and requirements.
Over the years I have minded many children and continue to mind siblings also have brilliant references
My Qualifications
I am Ofsted registered , with level 3 pediatric first aid and level 2 in award in food safety .I also have a Level 3 diploma in children and young people's workforce, training in several action kid techniques , I am a designated person for child protection, I have also attended courses on childhood attachment , let them be two and the revised EYFS. I am able to offer 2, 3 and 4 year funding. I have recently updated my safeguarding children qualification.
My Availability
I am available part time and full time. . The hours I am available are 7am - 8pm.
I currently have places available for the 2, 3 and 4 year funded places 15 and 30 hours a weeks,30 hours free funding, I also have places for before and after school drop off and pick up, full time and part time care. I also provide ad hoc care. All place are available for immediate start and I offer free settling in period to suit your child. please contact me to discuss all options.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
All fees are negotiable but my basic rates are as follows all prices are per child. discount for siblings
£4.50 per hour
£10 breakfast club and drop of at school 7:30-school drop off.
£10 after school club pick up from school 3:15- 5:45 snack included. feel free to message me free

My son of 4 years has been going to Michelle's home for 6 months now. I was really worried about using a childminder as childcare, due to a really bad experience with one in the past. But I am so glad we found Michelle!!
Not only does she collect my child from their school, but Michelle implements good behaviour and praises it too, this has also helped at home too.
I would strongly recommend Michelle to anyone needing a childminder, you will not regret it!

I could not be happier with the childminding service Marlene provides. She is proffesional in every way my child has been so happy in her care. She has a wide range of toys and learning equiptment and her family is very welcoming. Marlenes home is well equipt for children and they feel relaxed and she has a lovely motherly approch to taking care of my child. I'm so happy and would recommend Marlene to any parent she takes care of my child as if she was her own thank you Marlene. X
