About Me
My name is Jo, I am 43 years old with 2 amazing girls Molly aged 14 and Ellie aged 12 and both at Waingels
I love my job and want to look after other children by doing the good old fun things and learn lots of new things with other children.
I am a very fun happy person and love children.
You will be very pleased with the variety of activities, trips and outings I will go on as well as following the EYFS, Safeguarding, Observations etc.
I will always offer a loving, fun, educational and safe environment.
I have full clean drivers licences and have plenty of car seats for relevant ages.
I have my own house with a huge out door area with bikes, trikes and scooters, trampoline, slide, swings, plenty of play space a play kitchen and Dressing Up. I have lots of books, toys and games for all ages to enjoy. Children in my care can do a variety of things from colouring, crafts, work on fine and gros motor skills or sit and read books as and when they choose.
I am local to Parks, Softplay Areas, Lake walks, Paddling Pools for the summer, Library for story time and toddler groups, weather permitted we will walk to different activities and learn about road safety, transport, animals and the outside world.
My Experience
I am a Mum to 2 girls and an auntie to 5 nieces and nephews and god daughter.
I have always enjoyed looking after children and making them laugh I am known as Auntie JoJo and even now with my nephew being 20 he still calls me JoJo.
I have always loved being with children and anyone that knows me says I am a happy fun loving person
I used to be a carer for the elderly that involved going to clients houses, doing things like getting them up out of bed, washed, dressed, showered, to sitting with them for a few hours at a time, preparing lunch, dinner and returning them then to bed. Some with dementia, incontinence and very unstable.

* Introduction to Childminding
* Infant and Child Paediatric First Aid
* Epipen awareness and Anaphylactic Shock awareness.
* Safe-guarding Children
* Observation in Early Years Foundations Stage (EYFS)
* Level 1 and Level 2 in Food hygiene
* CRB Checks
* Ofsted GOOD Approved
My Availability
Monday to Friday 7.30am - 5.30pm
However I can be flexible.
I do not work on Bank Holidays or Public Holidays.
I work during the school holidays.
I could take siblings during the school holidays if required for additional fee’s.
I am happy to provide healthy snacks or your child can come with their own food.
I am happy to take care for babies from 3 months.
I currently do Ambleside Pre School

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
My fee's will vary depending on the parents requirements but my base rate per hour is as follows:
£5.50 for part time childcare
£5.50 for full time Childcare
£6.00 for Before and after school
I also take Government funding, 15hrs and 30hrs

Albie has been going to Jo and Daren since he was 9 months old, now almost 3 and as hard as it was to go back to work, i felt so comfortable leaving him with them. They have played a big part in his childhood, I get texts most days when he is there of updates on how he’s getting on and pictures as well which is so lovely, as i don’t miss out on anything, and as a first time mum Jo has offered lots of advice on different things i have ever had concerns with, and is always happy to help and offer her experiences, they are very flexible and will do extra days or a few extra hours if needed, they take the kids out to toddler groups and parks and all sorts of fun things, and also when at home i’ve had lovely arts and crafts stuff come home to which i think is great!! He is always playing happily with the other kids when i arrive to collect him and he go in the mornings with no fuss which is so reassuring, they will even be taking my latest edition to my family when i return to work in a few months and i can’t wait for him to start being looked after by them!

Francesca has been going to Jo's since she was five and a half months old. She is now nearly two and has grown into a beautiful little girl as part of 'jo's' family. Initially I found it hard going back to work and jo was really good at making me feel comfortable. Jo regularly sends me texts during the day when something funny happens which makes me smile and I don't feel like I'm missing out. Jo has always been very flexible and is happy to do extra days if I need. I have found Jo really helpful as a first time mum through weaning and she always forward plans, we've already discussed toilet training for the summer! I know that my Francesca is safe and happy at jo's, it is nice to see her run up to Jo with a massive hug in the morning. A day at Jo's is educational and fun and Francesca has learnt alot. Jo is reliable and it is very rare that she is off sick. I have no plans to move her and I hope she can stay there during primary school. I think Jo always goes the extra mile for the kids, she is is definitely my daughters second mum.

I would highly recommend Jo and Darren. My boys enjoy their time whilst attending a warm, welcoming home from home environment.
Always a wide variety of activities on offer each day covering the EYFS.
My youngest has been attending 2 and half days a week but come September will start full time school so will still attend Jos and Darren's before /after school.
If you are looking for a childminder give Jo a call.

Stella has been full time with Jo and Darren since December. It's always heartbreaking going back to work; but their house feels like a home from home. Stella has settled in so quickly and now waves us goodbye in the mornings without so much as a tear!
She has learnt so much the past 3 months; socialising with other children; singing and doing actions to songs; learning new words and crafts!
Jo keeps me updated with messages during the day and a daily report, which is always very detailed so I don't feel like I have missed anything!
I would highly recommended Her and Darren, they both seem to love what they do and they seem to love the children they care for. It was definitely the right choice for us.

My son Ben goes full time 5 days a week to Jo. It's like having a second family for him, he has a lot of activities, fun and most important he receives the best care possible. He is always happy to go in the mornings and when I pick him up he is always in a good mood. I would recommend Jo to every mother who wants/needs to go to work but wants her child to stay in a warm, loving home-like environment.

My son Ben (20 mounth old) used to stay with Jo 5 mornings a week when I was at work. It was the first time I had left him and he got settled really quickly. Jo is very kind and loving and Ben loved going there. There are a lot of indoor and outdoor stimulations at Jo’s place and Ben enjoyed playing there.
Jo was very warm and cuddly which was exactly what Ben needs, and I would recommend Jo to everyone !!!

I use Jo for adoc childcare and if I was to get a full/part time position I wouldnt hesitate in using her.
Both my boys love going to JoJos house where its warm and welcoming, with lots of stimulating activities to do.
So if your looking for childcare in the Woodley area, give her a call. Shes very flexible and accomadating.
