My Summary
About Me
I am a kind, supportive, patient, practical, playful and fun individual. Born in UK, the eldest of 5 children, I feel that I have been around children my whole life. I love working with little ones, helping and supporting them to explore their world and to develop their unique personalities. I love being outdoors and engaging children in creative and messy play, cooking, singing, dancing and playing guitar.
I am self-employed, trained in a variety of complementary therapies, including diet & nutrition and I enjoy cooking. English is my mother tongue, I am educated to degree level and have a full (clean) UK drivers licence. I have great references to offer. In this challenging time of Covid, I am particularly aware of maintaining good hygiene and observing all practical measures possible to stay virus free. I am vaccinated.
My Experience

Jacqueline worked with our family in the first half of 2021 when I returned to work. She helped with everything related to our two boys, 4 years and 6 months old on a daily basis, 4 days a week .
The eldest one went to nursery at the time, so we mostly needed help with collecting him from school and spending time together either outdoors or indoors til we finished work.
The baby was her primary care throughout the day ; from feeding and napping to playtime and walks outdoors.
Overall, we were very happy with Jacqueline . She connected very well with the boys (and us too).
She had a general calmness that helped the eldest one control his energy but also the skill to direct this energy into some activity . She would give him guidance and boost his confidence . She played games and engaged in his interests .
The baby was trickier, especially as we worked from home but again, her confidence and ability to adjust into the family’s dynamics helped her manage this well . When the baby wanted one of us, she would kindly step back and support us in another way. She was patient to give every one the time needed for the right transitions . She helped me with weaning as I was not cool with gagging.. She would get him for walks in the pram to help him nap and enjoy the fresh air. She would sing to him and speak to him .
In the 4-5 months , both children got to bond with her and it was rather unfortunate to have her leave .
