About Me
I have worked in Childcare for many years and have enjoyed every moment.
I have an old fashioned Police Check instead of a DBS and Ofsted have approved it, saying that it works the same but i am checked all the time instead of once in a while with a DBS
I am a happy person and I live in a beautiful cosy old cottage and I have a fantastic airy and light room with loads of toys and equipment to play with opening into the garden area.
Being an Artist myself we do lots of drawing and craft.
We like to grow our own vegetables and then recycle the peelings.
I am a Member of PACEY and a Member of Falmouth & District Childminding Group.
We love to get out & about in term time as well as the School holidays. We visit local parks and woods, or local amenities like the seal sanctuary, Trebah Gardens, Trelissick Gardens, Godolphin house, Wheal Martyn, Lost garden of Heligan, Eden Project, Newquay Zoo, Truro Museum, Cathedral and Library. On every trip there is something new to learn and see.
I run a after school club and collect from Kennel Vale cp School.
At home we love to observe wildlife in the garden so there is a free flow system from inside to out so we can spend more time there. I have a swing and slide as well as a lovely playhouse.
We are a non smoking household
My Experience
I have loved being childminder for 26 years and always enjoy each day tailoring activities to each child’s individual needs to stimulate and encouraging them so they are having fun and they are learning as well.
I have had experience with all sorts of food problems, epipen's, inhaylers etc to name but a few!
My Qualifications
I received an 'Outstanding' in my last Ofsted inspection and I aim to always improve, so I can offer a better service. I continually attend various training courses to keep up to date.
I have a CACHE Level 3 certificate in Childminding Practice as well as up to date Child Protection, Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates.
I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage principles to promote learning, development & care for children from birth to five years. I also offer before and after School care charged at the usual rate of £5.50per hour and holiday care for 5 to 12 year olds.
My Availability
7.30 in the morning until 6 in the evening although all hours are flexable to your needs.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
£5.50 per hour and I charge extra for evening meals if needed and for hour trips out.
