About Me
Hi, I'm an Ofsted registered childminder based in Consett ,County Durham. I live with my husband Gareth and two daughters Ellie and Libby, not forgetting the family dogs Brinkley and Duke. I have been a childminder since 2004 in London and Durham. I am registered with Durham County Council to provide childcare for 2, 3 and 4 year olds on funded hours. I have 2 assistants working with me called Leanne and Jamie.
Being a childminder means no day is the same. Children go on daily outings to toddler groups, the park, soft plays, sensory rooms and the farm. The children chose to adopt a sheep this year called Baa at Hall Hill Farm which they love to visit.
During the holidays we can go to the beach, museums, parks, the farm, cinema, bowling and soft plays. We also go to National Trust places, which are always fun. Children have access to a wide range of toys and we do crafts on a weekly basis. I have a secure outside area where children can play and do messy play, this could be with water, sand, messy slimes, or snow in the winter. In the summer we use the paddling pool and have ice creams (always a favourite)
Children have a journal they take home daily with what they have been doing, eaten etc and observations and pictures will be sent via WhatsApp. Termly reports and 2 year checks are sent via email.
All children in my care can learn and develop according to their own abilities, they will be encouraged and supported in every aspect of their learning journey.
All children are treated equally and with respect, they are taught to respect and value others.
My Experience
I have been a childminder for 20 years and have looked after many children from the ages of 3 months up to 12 years, some with additional needs.
I previously ran a toddler group at St Patrick's church Hall which ran for about 3 years which I really enjoyed doing. I am first aid trained as are my staff.
My Qualifications
I have completed a NSPCC course in child protection and have an up to date pediatric first aid certificate. I have a level 3 diploma in Childcare in the workforce and have completed numerous childcare courses including safeguarding, developement and SEND
My Availability
I am flexible on hours and days as I know many parents work on shift patterns. I can collect and drop off children at Beechdale nursery. Childcare is provided between the hours of 0700-1630 Monday - Friday including school holidays (times may vary)
I currently have no spaces available till July 2025, but we do have a waiting list as things can change.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
My fees are £5 for each child and £8 for siblings. Children bring packed lunches

from meticulously crossing the T's and dotting the I's these guys have you feeling comfortable and confident your child is going to be happy and content with them.
we literally cant believe the value for money and the complete attention to detail !
everything from meeting at the door and going the extra mile when we were slightly late to feeding him and taking him on amazing adventures (all documented in a funky book for our evening reading) was included and we can honestly say he ended his time with anne and Gareth more enlightened and gained some important skills.
highly recommend Anne to anyone and will definately be using them again !
