At The Lovely Monsters Setting, I pride myself on offering a nurturing, stimulating, and supportive environment where children can thrive. Located in a unique wooden cabin, my childcare setting is designed to provide a warm, homely atmosphere that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning. My setting features a carefully designed outdoor playground, equipped to support both physical and imaginative play. Daily outings to local parks, playgrounds, and playgroups further enhance children’s experiences, encouraging them to explore the world around them and develop key social and motor skills.
I understand the importance of creating an environment that is not only engaging but also supportive of holistic development. With a strong emphasis on fostering emotional, social, and cognitive growth, every aspect of my childcare setting is designed to help children feel safe, confident, and inspired to learn.
My deep knowledge of child development ensures that every child’s unique needs are met with care and expertise. Drawing on psychological studies and practical experience, I am adept at understanding and supporting the needs of both children and their families. By utilizing the Tapestry Learning Journal, I keep a detailed record of each child’s progress and tailor activities to their individual strengths and interests.
I firmly believe that a collaborative approach is key to a child’s success. Parents and caregivers are actively involved in their child’s development through regular communication, updates, and opportunities to share in their learning journey.
I place a high priority on the health and well-being of the children in my care. Fees include a nutritious daily meal plan, featuring breakfast, a home-cooked warm lunch, and healthy snacks. Mealtime is a communal experience, fostering social skills and an appreciation for wholesome food.
My childcare setting also offers government-funded hours, ensuring that high-quality care is accessible to families from diverse backgrounds.

My Fees

The fees include breakfast, a warm home-cooked lunch, and snacks. There are no additional fees.

Aga was brilliant in stepping in to help provide childcare cover at short notice during the lockdown. Her setting is wonderful - a purpose-built cabin in the garden, with a secure outdoor play area that meant my little got plenty of sunlight and fresh air. There are plenty of activities for the children, and Aga sends regular photos and videos of all they get up to. The environment is relaxed and family-like, with Aga's husband a registered and fully-qualified assistant, and her little dog playing at times too. She makes a lovely connection with the children.

Our daughter has been with Aga for over a year (she’s two years and three months old).
The physical environment is purpose built and really great, activities are well thought through and planned, the setting is relaxed and Aga and husband (Mariusz) are naturals!
Aga is knowledgeable, understanding, attentive, caring and nurturing - and also has been great when we, as first time parents, have been needing advice on various things! Communication is great all round too.
Leaving a little one anywhere at first is almost inevitable to cause some worries, and I suspect most places would have an aspect or two that one would change - we hit lucky with Aga, we’ve not had any worries and simply wouldn’t change a thing!
Our daughter looks forward to going and asks about Aga, Mariusz and the other children often when she’s not there. She couldn’t be happier I don’t think, and I couldn’t imagine sending her (or another child) anywhere else :-)
It’s really interesting watching learning and development, and really clear (and fun) to see the contribution that going here has had. Invaluable.

Aga has minded both my boys and we could not have been happier. Our 3 year has moved onto preschool but still talks about Aga, his friends and the family. Aga is calm, loving and respectful of all the children. She has provided not only a 'home away from home' but an environment full of learning. There are continuously new activities for the children to part take in no matter how young they are, she adapts the play. Especially during settling in periods, Aga provided me as much updates throughout the day as I requested which really helped as I went back to work. I highly recommend Aga and we are very sad to be leaving.

Our little one has been with Aga for a year now and we couldn't be happier with our choice.
He loved going there every day and Aga was pretty much his first word
We cannot recommend her enough.
It's such a fun and happy environment full of laughter, play and learning.

My son Remy has been cared for by Aga since April 2018 when he was 10 months old, and he absolutely loves her.
There have never been any tears at drop off (which made going back to work so much easier), and his face lights up when he sees Aga each morning. The setting has been thoughtfully set up to ensure that the children are cared for in a safe, stimulating and fun environment, that supports their development needs and allows them to thrive. It has all of the benefits of the type of facilities, toys and equipment that you would expect to see at a nursery, but with the focused and authentic care Aga is able to provide in a smaller setting. Remy has benefited so much from being there, and has developed some wonderful little friendships with the other kids.
I wouldn't hesitate to wholeheartedly recommend Aga as a childminder to anyone who is looking.

Our 2yo Libby has been with Aga for over 6 months. In the morning she goes enthusiastically, encouraging us to hurry up if she feels it might be late already. She always looks happy when dropped off and settles in within seconds, as she is welcomed warmly. The setting is lovely, quiet, thoughtful, and managed in a very orderly, pleasant and professional manner. Aga always has much to tell about Libby, always with great detail, out of deep attention. Libby has been healthy and happy for the entire period, and developed rapidly. We are grateful for her positive experience and positive she is being given great basis for creative future relationships with carers and peers.
