About Me
Hi! My name is Claire and i'm a caring childminder in the Far Bletchley area on the Racecourse Estate. I'm approximately a 10 minute drive from Central Milton Keynes and about 2 miles from Bletchley Train Station. I live with my partner and our sons who are 15 and 12. I'm easy going and easy to talk to and aim to provide a 'Home from Home' experience for the children in my care. I love participating in sports, especially swimming, cycling and football. Regular activities that I like to do with the children in my care is walks, visiting farms, visiting the Safari Park, playgroups, museums as well as the local swing park. We also do arts and crafts, so expect glittery pictures! I have a good sized home with lots of space to play and to do activities, both fun and educational. If you need a childminder who will give you the peace of mind that your child will be safe, happy, nurtured, encouraged, shown affection, taught to be respectful and to use their manners, then please contact me.
My Experience
Since leaving my office job (Customer Care & Finance) 15 years ago after the birth of my middle son, all of that time has been spent with my children..Deciding not to go back into the office and starting my own childminding business seemed a natural progression for me. I've always wanted to work with children and often thought of teaching or working within Children's Social Care, but I have chosen Childminding and run a successful business from home with a great track record from previous families.
I have assisted and been involved in sports coaching for children which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I have been a committee member for my local 'Sure Start' centre and
I have previously volunteered at my sons preschool whilst he attended it. I was also a committee member at the same preschool and enjoyed being involved in the running and progression of the setting.
My Qualifications
I am an Ofsted registered childminder, I have DBS clearance and a valid Paediatric First-Aid certificate.
My Availability
I currently have a full day on a Wednesday available.

Claire has been our two daughters’ childminder since September 2013. Claire was very nurturing and helpful during the settling period, and my youngest daughter (1.5 at the time) soon confidently said goodbye to me and couldn’t wait to get stuck into activities with Claire.
She encourages positive behaviour and is extremely consistent with all the children she looks after, aiding to some very positive friendships for my daughters within her setting. Trips to the forest, playgroups and the zoo add to the variety of activities and highlight the effort Claire puts in to all the children within her care.
As a working parent, Claire’s flexibility in working hours and pick up times is invaluable. I would recommend Claire as a caring childminder who really enjoys her time with the children in her setting, and makes their time away from home very enjoyable.
Claire is a fantastic childminder and we cannot recommend her highly enough!
