Ally

5 star childminder

We live local to boldon colliery, my son was 19m when starting at Ally’s, whilst I attended college and university. We had a visit and a settling in day, my son felt very comfortable with ally from the very beginning, she takes them out and about to groups including at the local nursery, library, and farms where she is very active and observant with all children in her care. Ally is very organised and her home is perfectly set up to accommodate all children of different ages. She has been a rock for me whilst I’ve been studying, my son has thoroughly enjoyed his time with her, she’s brought him along massively in terms of education, understanding the world, and thoughts and feelings, she even went out and bought some of his favourite dinosaurs to ensure his interests were met. Ally has been so supportive with behavioural changes and potty training on our journey. We are so sad to say goodbye, my son is now 3.5yo and we will both miss ally so much, she really is a lovely woman who creates such a bond with the children she cares for as-well as the parents. I couldn’t recommend her enough! Thanks for all you’ve done for us, it’s been a blast.

Amazing - like one of the family.

I had never met Alison prior to my childcare hunt however, it feels like I have known her for years. My son started a new school a few years ago and knew noone - Alison was absolutely amazing at reassuring Lewis and including him in activities with the other children. His confidence soared.
Her home is beautiful, the facilities available are second to none - way over and above what I would expect from a childminder. She is very organised (kept me right most of the time!) And very understanding of children's individual needs and likes.
I have never had any concerns regarding my son's wellbeing or safety whilst under Alison's care. She has her own children which are an absolute credit to her and her husband.
I only wish we could have continued using her going forward but my son is now at a comprehensive school out of the local area.
Alison, you are going to be a huge miss. Thank you so much for everything x

Fantastic Support

My family and I relocated from Cheshire to Boldon, Tyne and Wear in 2010.My daughter (Robyn) was 10 at the time and we were looking for her a childminder after school. I met Alison through the local council registered childminders list, and from our first initial meeting we were 100% comfortable and confident in Alison and Robyn took an instant liking, felt secure and at ease with her. Alison provided a collection service from school and gave drinks and healthy snacks. Robyn was the oldest of the children in Alison's care and the diversity of Alison's skills is excellent, as she provided imaginative, stimulating play and caft creativity for my daughters age group both in door and outdoor. I would recommend her to everyone. Thank you very much Alison as you made our family relocation a happy, very smooth and friendly transition for Robyn into her new surroundings x
