My Summary
Qualified Nanny/Maternity Nurse
About Me
I have worked for over 15 years in childcare. This has enabled me to develop a wide range of skills and experience in supporting parents in the important early months and years of their child's growth and development.
After gained my qualifications in Maternity Nursing in 2011, have since then undertaken additional courses to further my understanding in subjects such as 'breast and bottle feeding', 'sleep training' and 'reflux and allergies'.
I have experience of working with both first time parents and also with established families. Where there are other siblings I endeavour to encourage engagement and bonding with the baby and thereby, integrate the new arrival into the home environment. I am able to work equally well whether in sole charge, or in the shared care of any child. I am flexible in my approach and enjoy working with parents to provide advice, techniques and knowledge to establish the procedures best suited to each family's personal routine and outlook. In everything I do, my concern is always for the overall well-being of the child and parents.
I am also skilled in working with both breast and bottle fed babies and understand the issues that can arise with feeding. In this, as in other areas, I always respect the parents individual choice in these matters and am always willing to discuss any alternative methods and practices that are available. This applies equally to areas such as establishing sleeping and feeding routines, postnatal depression and all aspects of newborn and child care.
I am a friendly, reliable, down to earth person and bring a calm and considered approach to my work. Whatever issues may arise, I respond positively and patiently, maintaining a stable and relaxed environment for the whole family. I offer a positive and optimistic attitude, with a responsive empathy towards the needs of all members within the family unit. I have very high standards in cleanliness and in maintaining and promoting a safe and clean environment.
I had travelled with babies overseas and also worked abroad to foreigner families in Spain, USA, Switzerland, Portugal, Turkey, Singapore, France.
Thank you
