About Me

My name is Ana Paula I am 38 years old and I am from Brazil.
I have been living in London for 20 years.
I have a very good sense of humour, very expressive and with an easy laugh. I am extremely responsible and reliable, I take my responsibilities very seriously and devote myself to my commitments with my entire heart. I love children and have a long experience working with them.
As a bi-lingual (Portuguese & fluent English) I'm always curious to learn new languages and seize new opportunities and happy to teach Portuguese too.

I am currently working as a sole charge/after school nanny in North West London.
I have 15 years experience working with children, 3 years working as a Nursery officer in a Montessori school, and another 12 years working as a solo charge nanny. Plus the precious experience of being a mother.
During my career, I have worked with children of different age groups, proving to be adaptable, self-motivated and very organised.

In terms of qualifications, I have recently undertaken an executive PA Diploma. I also have an NVQ3 in children’s learning and development, a Montessori assistant certificate, Certificate in management, English for business course, professional development course, Nanny Food and Nutritional course, first aid, clean driving licence and a clean DBS.

I am flexible, honest and a hardworking person with high personal integrity, able to relate to and create trust in all. I am a reliable and trustworthy person who has a tremendous love for children!
I very much appreciate your time and consideration and hope to hear from you.

Yours Sincerely
Ana Paula De Medeiros

My Experience

Nanny- 3 kids (2017 to date)

Nanny/ housekeeper and PA (April 2015 - 2017 )
I worked as a nanny for this lovely family back in 2010 looking after their first child. They now have 3 adorable children and I was delighted to be back after almost 5 years.
In additional to my nanny duties while the children are at school I run the house making sure everything is done and organised. I also assist my employers with some PA duties.

March 2012 /September 2013 ( Nanny Share)
This was a nanny share position, where I took care of my own son Nicholas and a little boy called Theo. When I started this job Nicholas and Theo were 8 months old.
Nicholas and Theo love each other very much and are now attending the same Nursery.

February 2013 ( Temporary Mother's help)
I temporarily helped an extraordinary American family in Belsize Park during Mum’s transition back to work. Their baby was 3 months old when I started.
I helped Mum settle in the baby’s routine and weaning process. In addition to my standard childcare duties, I also researched classes and activities in local area, including calling class leaders about availability and proactively signing up for trial sessions of the courses and wait lists organised and safety-checked the baby nursery and buggy for a busy working mum. Managed periodic nanny-share with 20-month old boy, including identifying activities they could share and balancing infant and toddler schedules. Helped parents to define ongoing childcare needs and options, advised on types & qualifications of caregivers, and helped write the job advertisement. Reviewed CV's and met with some candidates to provide professional's second opinion.

Feb 2010/ April 2011 ( 4 days Solo charge nanny)
My employment with the Portnoi family ended when I went on my maternity leave.
I joined this Lovely family as a daily nanny working 4 days a week when Jake was nearly one year old.

Jan 2009/Dec 2010 ( full time Solo Charge)
I worked for this unforgettable Australian family, in Hampstead, as a Full time daily Nanny, 5 days per week, for 11 hours per day. Anna was 12 months old when I started. During this employment, I looked after Anna for 5 consecutive days, when my employers went away for holidays.
