About Me
I first registered with Ofsted in 2000 & received an Outstanding grade in my last two inspections (December 2024/ March 2019).
15/30 hour funding accepted. I care for a maximum of 3 children (Early Years age) at any one time and my setting is open Term Time only.

My home has a good size play-room, with a wide variety of toys, books and games. A separate room is used for children's nap-times (they have their own individual room). We have a large garden with a safe play area sectioned off with a variety of play equipment, including two Little Tikes climbing frames, each with a slide, 3 ride-in cars with a petrol pump, a see-saw and and a play Wendy house. a covered sand pit and a play water table. There is also a wooden pavilion for sole use as an outside playroom - it has foam flooring and removal canvas sides for the sunny days and heating for when it's not and it is decorated in an 'Ocean' theme.
We attend various different Toddler groups and very fortunate to have three lovely play parks within walking distance and also have fun days out to Legoland. We make use of the garden in most weather conditions, in summer a temporary gazebo is put up over the paddling pool for when the weather becomes very hot , playing in the wooden pavilion and switch to play on the patio in wet weather conditions to ensure the children have fun outdoor time to play and to exercise.

My Experience
Over my 25 years of child-minding I have cared for many children from as young as 9 weeks old to up to them leaving my setting when starting in Reception at School. My initial training course back in 1999 was held by Bracknell Forest Borough Council (BFC), and in addition to the training courses that are a requirement for Early Years childcare providers I undertake other training that I feel is especially important and relevant in the day to day care of children.
Most recent First Aid Training: TigerLily Paediatric First Aid September 2024 ( Previous courses: TigerLily Paediatric First Aid (2021/2019) Clearwater Training (2013/2016) and prior to that with ABC Paediatric First Aid (x3), one with PreMed Paediatric First Aid and one with British Red Cross when I first registered).
Safeguarding Level 1 & Level 2 with Bracknell Forest Safeguarding Board February 2025 (previously Targeted Safeguarding Level 2 with BFC, then their refresher training in 2021 and various on-line safeguarding courses including Prevent).
Level 2 Food Safety renewed January 2025.
I complete regular on-line training on courses. These courses include:

Kate looked after our daughter from the age of 15 months-2.5 yrs old. I can not rate Kate highly enough. Apart from being an extremely seasoned and professional childminder she really is a home away from home for the children. She is constantly working on new activities and keeps the little ones very busy with attending classes and groups. I will forever be thankful to Kate for how much our little one has grown in the time she spent with kate, our daughter immediately loved being in Kate's setting, a setting which is very clean and extremely well set up I may add. We were very fortunate to have found kate and will forever be thankful to her for all she has done for our family.

Kate looked after my little one when I first returned to work and she was brilliant. My daughter loved going to her setting where she had a wonderful play room and when the weather permits a wonderful garden for outdoor play. Kate always planned lovely fun activities for the children she cares for and they really enjoy their time with her. Kate is great at taking the children out to playgroups and other activities. Kate is highly deserving of her outstanding ofsted rating and I would highly recommend her.

Kate looked after my baby daughter from age 5 to 8 months. Although only a short time (as we moved out of the area) she was very happy with Kate, who provided a lovely, warm, caring environment, where she had lots of fun.
