About Me
Hi there,
I’m Sarah and have been enjoying childminding for over nine years now. I work with my husband Barry as my childminding assistant. We live in central Eastleigh with our 15 year old daughter Chloe and two dogs Patch & Elsa.
We enjoy exploring the outside and different trips out. We have an annual passes for Stauton Farm, Milestones Museum, D-Day Museum which we visit. We also enjoy visiting the library, different parks, play areas, local soft plays, groups and do a variety of arts and crafts.
We provide a safe and fun, family home from home environment for children to learn and grow with a dedicated play room and outside play area. We include children in decision making, from choosing activities to creating the house rules. We will also enjoy time out and about to experience different environments.
My Experience
I have completed my first aid training and my CYPOP5 training which covers the following;
Understand how to set up a home-based childcare service
How to establish a safe and healthy home-based environment for children, Understand the importance of partnerships with parents
Understand the principles of development of routines for home-based chidcare
Understand how to provide play and other activities for children in home-based settings that will support equality and inclusion
Understand how home-based childcarers can support the safeguarding of children in their care
Understand the principles of supporting positive behaviour in home-based settings and understand how to set up a home-based childcare service

My Fees

My fees are £4.40 per hour, which includes activities and outings.
I can offer flexible working hours. I can also offer pick ups and drop offs.

My kids (4 & 7) have been going to Sarah & Barry's for the school holidays this year. They absolutely love it. I can't recommend them enough. They plan loads of different excursions and activities, from seaside trips to baking and crafts. From the moment they open the door my kids faces just light up, and they are always laughing when I pick them up. They are extremely trust worthy and caring, and share pictures of the week's activities at the end of the week.

My son has been with Sarah for almost a year and absolutely loves being with her. Sarah always has lots of different exciting trips and activities for the children. She is very good at keeping parents up-to-date with what the children have been doing through logs and picture diaries. Her home is welcoming, fun, safe and secure. I feel fully confident leaving my son in Sarah's care and would highly recommend her childminding services.

Sarah became childminder for my two girls when they were 4 and 9 months. They are now nearly 7 and 3 and I am extremely happy and satisfied with the care, support and nurturing that Sarah has provided within her home.
I visited several childminders when my search began, but none compared to Sarah and the warm, home from home environment she provides. My girls have grown and developed with the support of Sarah and continue to surprise me with new skills and treasures they have created whilst together.
Sarah provides a first class provision and my girls always want five more minutes with her when I arrive to collect them.
Best decision I ever made, and in the words of my girls "Sarah's the Best!"

My son keeps asking for her after she brings him back home and looks very happy of the day spent with her.
I think there is not a better way to evaluate her work.
She is anyway very kind, calm, flexible and competent as well.
So i'd recommend Sarah to anyone.
