About Me
When I left school I trained as an NNEB at Clifton nursery nurses college.
I worked as a nanny with a number of families for some years before working as a volunteer in Romania at an orphanage in 1995.
I am patient, creative and fun with children, and sensitive to their needs and well being.
Having been a full time mum of three I worked as a Family Support worker with Southside in Bath for 3 years.
Later I worked as a teaching assistant.
I am fine with dogs not keen on cats. I enjoy a dog walk, being in nature a good pub and gardening.
My Experience
Numerous live out nanny posts with daily sole charge of children from newborn to 8yrs old.
I organised activities, trips and routines. Used a range of creative play activities. Quiet times with books chatting and puzzles.
Music, dancing and mostly child led.
Outdoor trips to the park and welly-walks.
Some light household help.
I am trustworthy, take initiative and considerate .
As a family support worker my role was to give practical and understanding support to parents on a range of issues and encourage educating and stimulating children through play after chaotic times . I had to be instinctive, organised and flexible, compassionate and reliable.
Often there were more complex needs that had to be supported and worked through.
