About Me
I am a qualified Nursery Nurse (NNEB), I am currently working as a night-time Maternity Nurse. I have completed a 2 year full time training course (similar to Norland). I have over 30 years of experience in childcare and have a real passion for children and babies, especially newborns with which I have a wealth of knowledge, and experience. This includes sleep issues, re-flux, premature babies and twins (I am also a mother myself after many IVF attempts)
I am more than happy to adapt to any family situation and will enjoy any challenge.
I am punctual, reliable and derive real pleasure from supporting mums and dads in practical ways and discussion to resolve any parent and baby issues they may be anxious about.
One of my aims is to get babies sleeping through at night in a gentle and positive way by about 8 weeks, also helping and supporting mum with daytime routines. I have much expertise in this area.
I have also set up from scratch and ran my own 50 place private day nursery in docklands. As CEO I was responsible for all health and safety aspects and day to day running of the nursery. This included the care and welfare of all the children and the 16 staff which I employed. Sadly I was forced to close due to redevelopment work in 2008. I then was a stay-at-home mum for four years after which I returned to Maternity work. Additionally, I have experience working in the Special Care Baby Unit at St Peter's Hospital.
I am currently available for night-time maternity work.
I hold an NNEB Childcare qualification certificate and have over 35 references.
