About Me
I am a registered childminder with 3 children of my own, currently 27, 25 and 22. I have over 40 years of experience working with children from birth upwards and offer a home from home care. I base my activities around each and every child's individual needs by doing many activities from going to the library for stories and song time, soft play activities and toddler groups as well as the playing, drawing, painting, going to the park and running around my garden at home. I have 1 cat and 2 dogs which all have been with us since they were allowed to leave their mothers .
I live just outside the town centre with the park and leisure centre just down the road. This means that everything is close at hand and only a walk away. If we plan to do any activities further away, such as fruit picking at Greys Farm, then I do use my car for these activities.
The children I look after have the full use of my ground floor which includes the playroom and sitting room for all sorts of play, though the sitting room is used for the baby area when they need a quieter less busy area to be in, the dining room for sleeping and the kitchen for all the messy play, art activities and also eating.
I last had an OFSTED inspection in June 2023 and received an Outstanding for it.
My Experience
I have been looking after children for over 40 years. The ages of the children start from newborn onwards. I have been a nanny, mum and a childminder.
Most of the children that I have looked after have come from recommendation from other parents of children I have looked after and all of them are happy to give a reference when required.
My Qualifications
NVQ level 3 in Childrens Care, Learning and Development taken in 2007,
First Aid trained every 3 years,
Ofsted Inspected (last inspection in 2023, the result was Outstanding)
PACEY member with their public liability insurance

My Availability
I am available to work in between 8am till 6pm and am happy to take on part time work as well though everything is negotiable.
At the moment I do not have any spaces available.

We started sending our daughter, Keira to Sarah when I returned to work in January 2018. From the first day Keira absolutely loved it and as first time parents, Sarah made the transition incredibly easy and stress free.
I can honestly say that we could not have chosen a better childminder for Keira - we feel so incredibly lucky to have found Sarah. Sarah consistently goes above and beyond in the things she does to ensure Keira is happy whilst in her care. Without Sarah’s support and guidance we honestly don’t think Keira would have grown and flourished as much as she has done.
Keira is an incredibly polite, caring, happy and confident little girl and that is thanks to Sarah’s friendly and warm nature and in the way she has taught and guided her.
The only reason why Keira will no longer be going to Sarah is because she will be starting nursery and I will not be returning to work due to having twin boys. Had we have not made that decision we would have without hesitation be sending our boys to Sarah to look after.
If you’re considering sending your child/children to Sarah than you certainly won’t regret it - we haven’t!
Most importantly Keira has absolutely loved every moment with Sarah - so much so that we actually made the decision to keep sending Keira to Sarah whilst I’ve been on maternity leave with the twins.
Sarah, thank you for helping Keira to grow in to the little lady that she is - and huge thanks also for your help and guidance with the twins this past year, we honestly don’t know what we would have done without you, you have been simply amazing!
