i am an easy going person who enjoys arts, crafts, baking, cooking and having a fun time
In my spare time i like to read, draw, baking cakes, experimenting with food and spending time with my family.
I live with my son (11years old) as well as our 2 cats and 1 dog
My Experience
i started working in a nursery for the under 5s in january 2007. This included lots of messy play activities including paint, playdough and generally anything that we can mix together to explore. There is cookie activities and being outside everyday in all types of weather as all have learning opportunities. I was involved with assisting parents with potty training and have key children that I did weekly paperwork on and track their progress and development.
i was nannying 2 boys (now 5yrs and 7yrs) since march 2011 to the end of march 2013. this was on a part time bases and i went back to them after maternity leave while also bringing my son with me. I left due to redundancy.
this included school runs with homework and fun activities with the children especially in the holidays with days out. i also did some of the cleaning around the house but mainly the childrens stuff. i did the childrens cooking for dinners including homemade meals.
I then went onto look after 2 children (aged 6 and 3) before and after school over 3days a week. This included drop off and pick up, preparing meals and occasionally reading and homework.
i have been babysitting friends, family and children from the nursery since i was 14. i have done over night on occasions and late nights and even through the day of children all ages between 0-13yrs
I worked a couple of years in a local school doing breakfast and after school club as well as working one to one with an autistic child during the day.
I then worked nights in a care home local to me, mainly caring for the elderly with dementia and Alzheimer’s
I am currently working in a local nursery doing part time.

I have full clean driving licence since end of march 2010 (currently dont have my own car)
While in my previous childcare and care home roles i achieved and am willing to update
-pediatric first aid/ 12hour first aid

-basic fire awareness
-basic manual handling
i have been ofsted registered from 2011-2015 but am willing to re-register if required

Becky has been a fantastic Nanny looking after my two boys.
Becky started working for me in 2010 and looked after my 2 year old and 4 year old. This involved taking the youngest to singing toddler groups, tumble tots, swimming and other activities in the mornings. As well as doing this she spent time doing reading with the 4 year old after school. She also did home creative activities which included messy playtime, art, play dough, baking and fun craft activities.
Becky is always polite and confident with the children. Her daily communication regarding the activities is great. We use a diary to leave messages regarding what activities are planned. Becky created a monthly schedule which included recipes for making nutritious meals for the boys, such as Annabel Karmels hidden vegetable pasta sauce, cottage pie, sausage casserole.
Becky's time keeping is great. She has also been very flexible to my changing work patterns.
It has been great having her work for us.
