Hello and welcome to my loving, caring and fun childminding service.
My priority is to make sure that your beautiful little one has a first class start in life. Working in partnership with parents is paramount, as your child is the most precious thing in your life. Every child is unique and by working together we can both nurture them and provide them with the most safe, loving, fulfilling start and let their talents flourish.
Being a parent myself gives me that extra bonus of truly understanding all those feelings you have when leaving your child in the care of someone else. I help ease any anxiety you may have by providing you with photos/videos of your little one so you can see how they are settling in and enjoying themselves. There are never any silly questions and I will always have time to talk with you about your child. I am a qualified childminder with 22 years experience in childcare. I have 2 caring children of my own aged 8 and 10 years. I am a very reliable, flexible & a calm childminder that provides lots of fun, stimulating & educational learning through play, following the EYFS framework. I absolutely love being outdoors and exploring nature with the children. I thrive on helping children reach their next steps. Making sure that all little ones are given every opportunity to express themselves, build self confidence, independence, teaching them to be kind, fair and respectful of others, allowing them to have a voice of thier own and become well balanced, loving, caring and happy individuals.
I take time to listen to the children and let them express themselves while also using my skills to explain and answer their questions as they grow.
Activities include: reading, singing, exploring our world, woods/forest, parks, gardens, farms, puddle splashing, sensory activities, visiting museums, libraries , toddler groups, role play, art & crafts, sports, games, cooking and much more, covering all areas of learning & child development at all levels. I am very passionate about my work and I love my job, my setting is like a home from home environment with lots of love, making sure every child receives the absolute best care they all deserve, tailored to their families needs, beliefs, religion, morals and values.
I live on Glenthorne Ave CR07ET. 8 min walk from Addiscome tram stop, and there are several busses you can get to my house that take you to Croydon, Norwood Junction or Elmers end.
I can do pick up/drop off at Thomas Becket school.
I accept 15/30 hours funding.
My Experience
I have 22 years of full time experience looking after new born babies to 10 year olds. I was a private Nanny for 14 years and i have been childminding for 8 years.
Prior to this i baby sat children from when i was 12 years old.
I absolutely adore being around children and am so blessed to have a career that brings me so much joy. I am so happy to be able to share my love with other’s and help them nurture their little ones.

I am Ofsted registered.
In my last inspection i was graded
Overall good with outstanding areas.
I am qualified in childcare and education.
I am paediatric first aid qualified and have level 3 safe guarding.
I keep my self up to date with online webinars related to childminders, child development and childcare ensuring i am up to date with new findings and research.
We can never know enough about children and I myself love to still be able to find out new things about children.

We moved our daughter from a nursery to Pippa’s when she was 3 years old. We feel so lucky to have found Pippa at that time and that she has a full time place available. She said she would give our daughter a brilliant year before starting school and she really did. She took her on so many trips, did lots of exciting activities and they had so much fun. Pippa really makes the kids part of her family and shows them all so much love and care. Our daughter was shy when she started with Pippa but grew so much in confidence over the year, which has really helped with a smooth settling in at school. We’d highly recommend Pippa and we all miss her a lot!

Pippa was nanny to my daughter from the age of 1 year until she went to secondary school. Pippa is an exceptional child-minder - highly organised, creative and energetic. We were part of a nanny-share and Pippa managed several children (and sometimes grandparents and dogs!) with consummate ease. She organised outings, creative crafts, homework when necessary and delicious, nutritional food. She was also brilliant fun - my daughter now 20 is still in regular touch with her. I consider her to be a superb child-minder and think we were very fortunate to have her in our lives for such a long time.

Pippa is a wonderful childminder. She looked after our daughter for 2 years and we felt so lucky to have her. From the first meeting we knew she would be the right choice for us. She has extensive childcare experience and her warm caring personality shone through.
Our daughter settled in very quickly, she was extremely happy during her time with Pippa and was treated like part of the family. They used to do a great range of activities at home indoors and outdoors as well as frequent trips to places like playgroups, parks and library. Pippa is very organised and reliable. We always had a detailed record of the day often including photos.
Would highly recommend Pippa to anyone looking for childcare.

I would highly recommend Pippa. We as a family have been blessed with her, not just for the excellent care for the children but because she became a good friend. She is always willing to help and is as flexible as someone can be. Our two children love her and love going to her setting. She always keeps them busy and well entertained. She is very imaginative and creative. She managed to come up with new activities all the time.
She has been looking after our daughter since she started school and for our daughter Pippa’s house is her second home. Then, she started to look after our one year old son and now he is beyond prepared to go to nursery. Pippa has been very patient and helpful and caring for him. He loves her and enjoy being with her and the other children she looks after.
Pippa is far and beyond loving and understanding and teach the children good values, and the more important thing is that she really enjoys her job so she is happy and that reflects on the children responses and behaviour. They just love her!

I am so privileged to have met Pippa and use her amazing childcare service. Pippa is one of a kind, the interaction she has with all the children is fantastic across all the ages of children she is looking after. The projects and activities Pippa does are just superb and are all withing the curriculm. Pippas menu is so yummy and very healthy and nutritious. Pippa is extremely caring , teaches the children right from wrong, likes good manners but also has alot of fun with the children, it is so very lovely to see and be a part of. I am so very lucky to have meet you Pippa , thank you for embracing us into your beautiful family . Would recommend you time and time again .⁸
