About Me
I am a French native childminder with years experience as a teacher. As a Croydon Childminder, I enjoy taking the children to Children Centres, the Library, parks, museums and on day trips. We attend music and drama clubs and of course, the children are introduced to French . As my familly and I have travelled a lot, our house reflects our curiosity and love for different cultures and people. It is a pleasant setting with a secure garden located near Norwood Lake and park. Foodwise, I offer healthy snacks like fruit, vegetables, crackers and hummus.
My Experience
It is my 15th year as a childminder and as an ex teacher, I have always liked contacts with children and enjoyed finding ideas to stimulate and make them learn. It can be challenging at times, but it is also very rewarding and since I have had my son, I have realised that it is especially fun working with little ones.
My Qualifications
My last inspection was in November 2019 and I was graded "Good". I have a degree in French Literature, a PGCE in French and German and have completed my NVQ Level 3 in Childcare.I am registered with Ofsted ,DBS/ CRB checked and have an up to date Paediatric First Aid Certificate. I have also attended many childcare training sessions over my career. My portfolio includes all the relevant certificates and I can also provide references. Both of my children have had a wonderful experience with Isabelle, and I am thrilled with the level of care they have received (and continue to receive!) - I feel like they are being looked after by family. Isabelle's home is a lovely, warm environment with plenty of great resources that catered just as well for my son when he was 2, as they did for my daughter when she was 8 months old. Isabelle is truly invested in and cares for every child she looks after, and both my children have thrived during their time with her, not least because she organises so many interesting activities and outings. She also has a knack of attracting lovely families and my children have made wonderful friends, as have we! Isabelle looked after my son from 12 months to 2.5 years (2022-2023), and is currently looking after my daughter, since 8 months (2023-now). I would highly recommend Isabelle as a childminder!

I cannot speak highly enough of Isabelle, following our experience with her childminding our son for a year between the ages of 2 and 3. He thrived under her guidance and enjoyed his time spent with Isabelle and her charges. Activities and outings were well-planned, and he learned vital skills through play, exploration, and gentle/ considerate pairings with other children. Communication back to us as parents was clear and thoughtful. We will keep in touch and wouldn’t hesitate to hire Isabelle again if we need her help again. We highly recommend Isabelle’s services to anyone looking for a friendly, professional and trusted childminder in South Norwood.

We highly recommend Isabelle if you are looking for a childminder. Isabelle has looked after our daughter since she was 12 months old (Jan 2020). She was great at settling in Evie, and has built a strong relationship with her. Even through lockdown Isabelle did Zoom calls and continued engaging her with songs and play.
Isabelle does a lot of activities with the kids, and prior to lockdown there was lots of play cafes, soft play and visits to parks & woods. She also has a garden with swings/slide etc and they do painting/craft/play indoors as well. With the play cafes etc closed she has continued to take them out to parks and woods, and Evie always looks forward to her days there. Evie very much sees Isabelle's setting as her "home away from home" and is utterly comfortable there.
We are sadly moving out of the area, which is the only reason we are leaving Isabelle's care. Evie will miss her so much.

I can't recommend Isabelle highly enough. Our daughter has been with her since she was 10 months old, and has absolutely flourished in Isabelle's warm, caring and stimulating home. Our daughter is nearly three now and she has a beautiful bond with Isabelle, who has done so much to support our daughter's learning and development, whilst keeping her happy and entertained.
One of the things we value most about Isabelle's care is the variety of activities and outdoor adventures she takes the children on - our daughter is always coming home with stories to tell of where they have been exploring each day. Another brilliant thing about Isabelle is that she only takes on a small number of children, and so each child benefits from having Isabelle's dedicated focus and attention, and it also means that the children form really lovely connections with each other in a beautiful home environment.
Another thing Isabelle is really good at is picking up on our daughter's interests and skills as they have developed, and provided us with activities to do at home together that will help our daughter practice her new skills.
Throughout the pandemic Isabelle has done everything she can to keep the children safe and protect the small number of families who use her care. As with everything she does, she has done this in an informed, thoughtful and pragmatic way.
Both myself, my husband and my daughter will be terribly sad to say goodbye to Isabelle, and the family that takes our place will be extremely lucky!!

Isabelle has been looking after my daughter Raina for around 6 months. In that time they have developed a gentle, playful relationship that has brought out the best in Raina.
Isabelle is kind and thoughtful, and I love how she treats each child as an individual - giving genuine consideration to their personal development. When I was concerned about Raina's eating, it was Isabelle who reassured me the most and her advice worked. In addition, she's wise and well educated, which was important to my husband and I as Raina is very curious and we were keen to find someone who would encourage Raina to explore and learn. Every day is an adventure as Isabelle always has something planned for the children's daily trips, whether that be soft play, the museum, a drama class or the park.
It's been a pleasure getting to know Isabelle and we will miss her when we move abroad next month.

My daughter has been with Isabelle since the beginning of 2016 and adores her. Isabelle is a great childminder and takes the children out to a variety of activities and fills their day with fun as well as learning. Her home environment is clean and tidy with lots of books, toys and dressing up - which my daughter loves!
I'd highly recommend Isabelle and I'm so pleased to have found her.

Isabelle looked after my daughter from 12 months until she nearly turned 4, providing a wonderful creative environment with activities both at home (including lots of wonderful garden play in the summer) and regularly at children's centres and at outdoor locations, weather permitting. My daughter thrived and built excellent relationships with the other children of varying ages in Isabelle's care.
My daughter is now at school and I feel the time she spent with Isabelle helped her greatly, both developmentally and in terms of her ability to communicate and form relationships with other children of all ages.
It was very much the 'home from-home' childcare environment I was looking for and I would recommend Isabelle wholeheartedly.

Isabelle has been provided great, fun, consistent care for my daughter over a period of 5 years both full time and holiday care. In this time my daughter has flourished, learnt, experienced and had fun. I am always safe in the knowledge that she is well cared for.

Both of my daughters (3 year old and 11 months) are currently being cared for by Isabelle. My children love her and the eldest very much see's Isabelle as part of family life now.
Isabelle offers a safe, warm and welcoming home. She provides a wide range of interesting activities daily and will take them out to playgroups, soft play, children's centres. Often she'll take them to museums, farms, forest school to name a but a few!
I feel very lucky that we found her. Returning to work was far less stressful knowing my child was was Isabelle.

I have known Isabelle for 4 years. Both my boys have been looked after by her until the time they were ready to move to pre-school and they still both look forward to seeing her in the school holidays.
I have been extremely happy with the care they received, and the great progress they made whilst in her care. Isabelle's home is always welcoming, clean and well organised and she provides a wide, fun range of activities in her home but also takes the children out everyday to either a playgroup, park or museum etc.
She provides a daily record book that keeps you up to date with the activities, food, nap times etc and she also keeps a detailed log of your child's development.
I would strongly recommend Isabelle to anyone looking for a safe, loving and well-balanced childcare environment.
It was such a relief when we found her!!
