Hello I am a registered Ofsted childminder and I currently work along side another childminder who has been child-minding for the last 20 years. Together we provide a warm, loving and creative setting for young children aged 0-5 years and some after school children. we currently have spaces

My name is Sian,I am a non smoker and English is my first language. I live in a large 3 bedroom garden flat. I work along side another childminder and two assistants. For many years I worked as a nanny before starting my journey to becoming an Ofsted registered childminder.

Our days are taken up with lots of music, arts and craft, singing , stories, action rhymes cooking ,planting, and lots more. We have a wide range of equipment including a play kitchen, lots of musical instruments, puzzles, sensory toys also multicultural toys and lots of books. Although we would love to just play all day the children do participate in learning activities such as practising numbers, letter and reading. The older children also enjoy doing flash cards and learning to write their names. We also have ICT equipment that can be used for visual learning and exploring.

At our home/setting we have a large front garden which has a small climbing frame, sand and water table, rockers, picnic table, buggies, push along bikes and a trains table. We set up numerous activities outdoor. We provide three healthy home cooked meals a day for the children breakfast, lunch and tea time. These meals all include healthy fruit, vegetables and a variety of different foods to suit each child.

Each child has their own progress folder which we add photos and observations to as your child grows and develops.

We have three bedrooms that we are able to put travel cots in so if your child wishes to sleep then there is a safe and comfortable environment for them to do so.
