About Me
I am a study skills tutor and hold a PhD in art history and archaeology. I lived in London for 15 years before moving to Yorkshire. I love the nature here and with a little baby now enjoy a lot of local walks. I have many friends from around the world, love the diversity and cultural differences since these are the ones that make us unique teachers for each other. I love to travel and enjoy reading when I get some free time.
My Experience
I have been mainly babysitting for my friends and family, but have been working with children for more than 10 years. First I have been giving lessons for kids with learning difficulties, than have been a language teacher for children and teenagers for 8 years and have been working with summer schools and as a volunteer in children entertainment (organizing birthday parties, home parties, museum visits...). I have been teaching English, German and Dutch for over 8 years. I love teaching and come from a teacher's family. I now have an 8 month old baby boy myself and can juggle potential babysitting around my own childcare commitments.
My Qualifications
I am DBS checked, hold a Master and PhD from SOAS, University of London and have both, First Aid certificate and Mental Health First Aid certificate. I am currently working toward Pediatric First Aid certificate.
My Availability
I am mainly available in the evenings and weekends.
