About Me
My name is Maria and i an Ofsted registered Childminder in Soham.
I dont always see the messages on here so please text me too.
I have lived in Soham for twelve years with my partner, daughter who is 13 years old and son who is 8. We live with our cats, guinea pigs and Gecko. I live in a two bedroom house with a large garden in central Soham with easy access via soham town and the bypass.Free play is encouraged and allows children to become independent throughout the downstairs of the house, messy play and arts and crafts will take place in the kitchen as well as in the garden where children will have access to play everyday. Upstairs bedrooms are available for children who need naps in travel cots. I have a large garden with a decking area which has sand and water play areas aswell as outdoor toys and ride ons, there is also a grass area with a climbing frame for older children to play on.
Having used Nurseries and Childminders myself, i decided to become a childminder and offer a home from home service. Children will be welcomed into my home where we carry out activities such as Messy play, Free play, Role playing games and much more. As well as this, me and my daughter often spend a lot of time outdoors whether playing in the garden,Nature walks, going to the park or feeding the ducks.
All children under 5 years old are part of the EYFS for this reason all children will be supplied with a learning journal, I will observe, assess and provide children with next steps to provide activities that will allow them to reach their full potential. Daily diaries will also be available to allow parents an insight to what the child has been up to during the day. I currently use an online system which parents are able to log into their private section and veiw all the information on their own children as well as procedures and policies to veiw and sign.
My Experience
My experience comes from my education i am level 3 qualified, where i have also carried out work placements in nurseries and reception classes, through many years of babysitting and from having my own daughter. i have been childminding since 2014 and have gained lots of experience with different children in this time.
My Qualifications
I am currently studying CACHE early years educator level 3
-Understand how to set up a home- based childcare service including safeguarding
-Paediatric First Aid Training
-Basic food hygiene
- GCSE in Child development
- Alevel in Health and social care with modules relating to child development
- I have Partially completed Educations studies with Early years BA(hons) but chose to leave when i had my daughter
My Availability
Hours available will be 7.00am - 6pm Monday to Friday (extra arrangements can be discussed if required)
Full time and part time spaces available
