About Me
Ofsted grade 'GOOD'
My aim is to provide an excellent service with the highest standard of care, within a safe, happy and secure environment, with lots of fun and laughter, daily activities, lots of arts and crafts and Forest Childcare. I will be offering a great range of learning opportunities to support the learning of the children’s individual needs and next steps
I have a 3 month old Leonberger (giant breed) puppy. Our daily activities for under 5 year olds will be a mixture of free play and structured activities to include a mixture of arts and crafts, baking, story time, building models, song time, trips to the park, walks and adventures in the Nature Reserve and surrounding countryside. I have a lovely private and secure garden, which the children will have free access to during the day.
A healthy breakfast, lunch, evening meal and snacks will be provided and included in the daily fee.
I don't offer any school/home pick ups or drop offs.
My Experience
I have previously had 10 years of childminding experience and have a NVQ level 3 in childcare learning and development.
I have cared for a range of children from newborn babies up to 12 years of age.
I encourage learning through play, working within the relevant EYFS framework.
I plan ahead for each child working on children’s interests/next steps.
I track all children’s development and ensure they are hitting their milestones
My Qualifications
I have achieved an NVQ level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development, and hold a valid paediatric 1st aid certificate, Safeguarding for Children, Designated safeguarding lead and various child development certificates. I will be regularly attending training throughout the year organised by the Early Years which will all be to the benefit of the children

My Availability
I work Monday to Thursday. At the moment I am currently full but will have availability from September 2025, for Mondays and Wednesdays. Please note I do not offer any home/school pick ups or drop offs.

My son has been going to Nikki for nearly a year now and he has made excellent all round progress during this time. Nikki does lots of activities with the children and keeps carful records in relation to their learning and development. My son is always very happy to go to Nikki and I feel confident that he is being well cared for and being given lots of attention. The atmosphere at Nikki's house is very relaxed and friendly and the children respond well to this happy but purposeful environment. My son has brought home lots of lovely things which he has made and I am also pleased that he has lots of opportunities to play outdoors and to burn off energy. Nikki has created a good balance between a homely environment, which I feel is very important for pre school age children, whilst at the same time having structure and order to the day. I am very pleased with every element of my son's care and feel that she really does deserve the Outstanding grading she recently received from OFSTED.
