About Me
I'm a 20 year old student from Derry currently studying at Northumbria University but living at home for the summer months. I love kids and have interest in the future in a career related to working with school children so it is my aim at the minute to gain as much experience in this area as I can.
I come from a large family (I have 5 siblings and 8 young nieces and nephews) and my mother has been a childminder all my life so I have grown up surrounded by children and babies and have always been expected to help out, so caring for and entertaining kids is something that I feel comes naturally to me now.
My Experience
In the summer months last year I was an au pair for a French family with two children aged 4 and 6. I looked after the kids almost every day while the parents went to work, entertaining them, cooking their meals and teaching them English. This was an enjoyable job for me and gave me great experience of what it's like to look after youngsters almost 24/7
As well as this, I have worked as a Social Mentor for my local language school which was a job that entailed organising and helping out at events attended by young students. I was often left in charge of large groups of children and teenagers and was expected to keep them occupied as best I could. This further increased my experience with working with youngsters and has also made me aware of the massive importance of responsibility.

My Availability
As mentioned, I normally study at Northumbria University however I will be finishing my second year on the 28th of May and returning to Derry. Between this time and the beginning of September I am interested in some casual babysitting work- day time or evenings.
I live with my parents in Derry so my main interest in babysitting is gaining some more experience with kids and less about earning money.
