Fun loving and Nurturing Childminder with 28 years of experience from raising her own 3 children, 1 grandchild and 22 years of childcare, plus Nursing background from the age of 18 in Special Needs.
I Live at home with my Husband Terry, plus 1 of my children aged 21, he is do his apprenticeship in sheet metal work after finishing 2 years at college.
I have cared for and nurtured countless children over the years And I understand how hard it is to leave your child when working as I used a childminder when I was nursing, it was when I fell pregnant that I changed career to enable me to look after my own children and work. I have loved every part of this career change and I have gone on to develop my education and got my Diploma in Working with children &Young Adults at Level 3 whilst working at home.
I have just currently finished an 8 month course, “EYPDP” Dec 2024.
I am based near the Everglades part of Widnes.

A non-refundable deposit secures your child’s place but is used against future childcare care costs once you start.

Settling - in sessions can go ahead with your child once contracts are completed and deposit is paid.
I keep parents updated with photos daily/weekly of their child/ren this especially whilst settling in.
We welcome any questions and conversations during the day of your little ones as we know how hard it can be leaving them especially when it is at first.

My Experience
I have been trained as a qualified nurse for people with additional needs but became a childminder when my second child was born so I could look after my children. My children are 28, 22 & 21
I am up to date with my first aid, safe guarding, and food hygiene courses. I promote healthy eating and will follow any dietary requirements as requested, including any allergens. I have experience of care with lactose & fructose intolerant, milk & Soya allergy(then the milk ladder) so can adjust the diet accordingly. I have had a child allergic to latex, so I used gloves with no latex and extra vigilant around surroundings when out.
I have experience in catherising a little one in my care, experience of epilepsy through my training as a special needs nurse. Also, I have experience with children on the autistic spectrum.
I am willing to be trained if your little one needs any other extra care.
I volunteered at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in my spare time, which was very rewarding, but unfortunately, I was unable to continue to do it at the moment due to working full time in the week.

I do offer the funding for 2/3/4 year olds. Please ask, and now the new (9mth-23mths) from Sept 24.

I do continuous courses online to keep my knowledge updated.

My normal working hours are between 7.30-8am -5pm mon-Thurs
Friday until 3pm/3.30 approx
I can offer Term Time only contracts if needed and terms of these can be discussed.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
I offer the funding for 2.3 & 4 year olds and now the New (9-23mths) funding from September 2024.
I charge by the hour so I can be flexible, prices depend on hours, days and term time or all year round contracts
Prices from £6p/h depending what hours and days you require,
Term time only (contracts & prices to be discussed).
I also accept work voucher and government tax schemes
All I ask for is a non-refundable deposit (used against future childcare)to secure your place, then contracts and settling-in sessions are arranged.

Debbie is such a fantastic childcare provider and has been looking after my daughter Ada for 2 years now. After first meeting Debbie i instantly new that the care given would be exceptional. A loving home, fantastic resources and of course the lovely Nova! 🐕
Debbie has always made us feel comfortable and welcome and its as if we are part of the family.

I have loved Having Ada, she has made such a lovely friendship group.
it has been such a pity this current situation of COVID-19 has robbed us of our last few months of getting school ready and missed out on the leaving party’s and saying goodbye to her friends. I will organise a meet up with everyone in the summer holidays when we are able to to say goodbye. Xxx
