My name is Joanna; I am 53 years old and live with my partner Mark in Great Ashby.
Ofsted graded me OUTSTANDING in all areas during my most recent inspection and I am accredited so can offer 15 hours of free care and education to eligible 2/3/4 year olds through early years funding.
I have been a childminder for almost 22 years and was initially attracted to the profession because of the pleasure I gained from providing my own children with challenging and stimulating activities in which they could succeed and seeing them grow, develop and learn.
I have a BA in Early Years, am a qualified Early Years Teacher, and Early Years SENCO.
My Experience
My aim is to provide attentive, sensitive care to children ensuring they are at all times, safe, secure, happy, stimulated and comfortable in their surroundings. I see my role as providing a normal daily routine and environment incorporating all the things children would ordinarily encounter with their parents.
These include walks, visits to friends, attendance of toddler groups or school, stimulating play, crafts, trips to shops and parks, outings and rest.
I provide a diverse range of toys and activities to develop them creatively, physically, intellectually, socially and emotionally ensuring they mature into well rounded, confident, well behaved individuals proud of who they are and where they come from.
My Qualifications
I am a qualified Early Years Teacher, trainer, Early Years SENCO and assessor and a Lead Mentor for the Department for Education Covid Recovery Scheme.
My Availability
Monday to Thursday - 7.30am - 5.00pm

joanna is a great childminder and recommend her. i used to babysit her 2 boys a few years back and saw her with a few of her children and she is a great childminder.
