About Me
Im Julie Thompson Im an Ofsted registeted childminder and I live with my husband Wesley and we have relocated to Stotfold, Bedfordshire summer 2022. I have 2 daughters who no longer lives at home. Our youngest daughter Abby who is 23, graduated last year with a masters at university has moved to London to start her Phd in September. Our older daughter Ursula, lives locally with her family. We live in a 3 bedroom house. My setting is a safe and welcoming environment, where I offer a wide range of toys, stimulating activities and creative play to help the children thrive as well as taking them to local parent & toddlers groups, Willows farm, Standalone farm, weekly Jo Jingles sessions, soft play, family centres and parks on a daily basis. I have a safely enclosed back garden for outdoor play.
I follow Ofsted guidelines and record evidence of each childs activities from birth to 3 years, using photos, and developmental reviews to build up a profile to show the early years foundation stage learning goals. I send daily updates and photos for each child via whats app, to record their daily routines.
My Experience
I am a very experienced Ofsted registered childminder and have worked in the London Borough of Barnet since I registered in 1996 .I received a GOOD result in my last inspection in March 2022.
My Qualifications
As part of my Ofsted requirements I hold up to date First Aid and Safeguarding children certificates as well as regularly attending training through the childminding network. I also hold an NVQ3 in childcare, learning & development. I have excellent references available on request.
