About Me
Hi, my name is Carol, I live in Porchester Road, Kingston Upon Thames, Close to Norbiton Station and Kingston Hospital. I have been an Ofsted Registered Child Minder since 2004. I offer a fun, loving, learning environment within my home setting. I attend many playgroups and drop-ins and Children's Centres and take the children on regular trips out to parks, farms, the river, soft play centres and much more. I am a member of the Forest School Association and we have annual passes for Hobbledown farm, Chessington World of Adventures and regularly spend time playing outdoors and exploring the animals etc. I build up strong relationships and work together with parents to offer the best home from home care and early learning opportunities possible for each individual child.
My Experience
I had previously worked in a pre-school nursery for 10 years, and I worked for 3 years as a Tutor for pregnant teenagers, Teaching them in a lifeskills program which included learning about their pregnancies, birth and childcare, and I have lots of experience working with young mums and their children. I have experience as a 'Support Child Minder' offering help and support to new Childminders in their Registration Process and their 1st year as a Child Minder and spent a number of years on the commitee of Kingston Childminding Association.
My Qualifications
I have a level 3 qualification in Childcare, I am First Aid Trained, and have attended lots of training covering all aspects of E.Y.F.S. Safeguarding children, Equal opportunities, Autism, Health and Safety and Risk Assessments, I have attended training for speech and language therapy. My last Ofsted inspection was in March 2025 and I was happy to retain my GOOD grading. I have many lovely references from previous and existing families and would be happy to arrange for you to contact any, if you would like to ask them any questions regarding the care that I provide.
My Availability
My hours of work can be variable between 7am and 5.00 pm. Tues - Fri (however care outside these hours may be arranged) I would also consider school 'Term Time' only care. If spaces are available I am happy to provide 'ad hoc ' care.
I CURRENTLY DO NOT HAVE ANY VACANCIES. However I am expecting some availability from September.

My Fees
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
I charge from £8.00 per hour ( minimum 5 hours) or from £75 per day. (For up to 10 hours) I am registered for the governments Tax free childcare scheme and to accept the 15 and 30 hours Early Years funding for 9 months to 2 years old working family funding to receive the new working family funding . I accept payments from 'work based ' voucher companies and tax credits etc.

Carol is looking after my son the last couple of months. She is brilliant with children, within less than a week my 2 years old son was very settled. This has been so reassuring as I've been able to work without worrying about him. He is happy and content.
Carol has a fantastic understanding of childcare provision, she takes the children to playgroups and has different activities set up each day. As a mum I really couldn't recommend her highly enough.

Carol is sorely missed by me and my little girl. My daughter went to Carol's from the age of 2 years to 4 1/2 years and she absolutely loved her as did I, Carol keeps the kids active, they spend lots of time doing activities, going to the park, the farm are just some examples and she also has plenty for them to do inside. My daughter was always well fed and happy, and Carol was really supportive and flexible with the care she gave. My daughter often didn't want to leave carol's and still asks to go back!!

Carol is a very caring, patient and lovely child minder. My daughter is really settling in with her and I recommend Carol to anyone. Will definitely use Carol for any kids I may have in future! : )
