Welcome to Whitstable Childcare
Hello, I'm Lisa, an Ofsted-registered childminder with an Outstanding rating. Alongside my partner Duncan, who is also a registered childminder, we offer a warm and supportive environment for your children in Tankerton, Whitstable. Our home, which we share with two friendly dogs (who have their own separate pen), is a safe and welcoming space where your child's well-being is our top priority.
I have been childminding since 2004, and I am proud to have received Outstanding grades in my last three Ofsted inspections. We offer funded places for children aged 9 months to 3 years of age.
Our childcare services are available Monday to Wednesday, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, with additional hours and weekend care offered by arrangement. We are also registered to provide overnight care for up to two children and offer both full-time placements throughout the year.
To ensure we meet your needs, we have a registered assistant who works on an ad-hoc basis and is available for babysitting. Our goal is to provide the highest standard of care in a welcoming, home-based setting where every child is valued as an individual, regardless of race, age, gender, ability, family structure, language, or social, cultural, and religious backgrounds.
Our property is a spacious bungalow, with the entire ground floor, including a fantastic conservatory playroom, dedicated to childminding. Our fully enclosed garden is equipped for safe and enjoyable outdoor play, and we provide sun hats, waterproof all-in-ones, and wellington boots so your child can explore in all weather conditions.

My Experience
I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder since 2004 and I work alongside my partner Duncan McKean, who is also a registered childminder.
Before childminding I volunteered at All Saints Nursery School, where I served as Chairperson during one of my daughter's time there.

Working with my partner, Duncan, as a registered childminder has which allowed us to offer more vacancies and support the 30 hour funding.
We are open Mondays - Wednesdays, 8.00am - 6.00pm, additional hours by negotiation.
Weekends by arrangement
I am registered to provide overnight care for two children
I offer full time places and my setting is open all year round. I am able to offer funded places for 9 months - 3 year olds.

My daughter has been really happy with Lisa. Lisa is very warm, caring but also Lisa is very professional and I trust my daughter in her care completely.
My daughter always has a fantastic time when she is with Lisa, they are always out and about and when I drop her off she runs in without a look back or a goodbye!
