I am currently a Teachers Assistant in a Special needs school and have always enjoyed working with children.
My Experience
I work with children with PMLD and severe learning difficulties and am trained to feed children with eating difficulties, including tube feeding.
I am experienced in manual handling as well as using a hoist.
I have previously worked as a full time nanny for two children aged 5 and 2. I babysit in my spare time and have previously worked as a Health Visitors Assistant.
My Qualifications
Qualified in Manual Handling.
First Aid Training completed both with St Johns Ambulance (for babies and children) and also with the NHS (for members of the public).
Feeding Training, both for mainstream students and special needs students.
Currently completing NVQ2 Teaching Assistant.
Training completed also includes basic physiotherapy for children and speech therapy.
Undergoing swimming therapy training (to be completed May 2010).
