About Me
Hello, my name is Anne and I am an OFSTED registered childminder & have been childminding since 2003.
My setting is called Owl Babies Childcare
I care for pre school ages children only (I no longer offer school pick ups and drop offs)
I have two grown up sons and two Grandsons.
I live with my husband Stephen and we have a little Westie dog called Monty.
In my last two inspections I was graded OUTSTANDING, and in June 2022 I was graded outstanding for the third time
I was the first childminder in Pendle to receive an outstanding rating.
Welcome to Owl Babies Childcare
We have a bright & welcoming playroom that is set up into different areas of play, the toys are rotated regularly and there is have a wide range of toys, books and equipment for all ages.
We have varied role play toys and equipment, which is rotated often, this is great to build our imaginations.
We have lovely twinkle lights to add a calming atmosphere and seasonal decorations hanging from the ceiling to add interest.
Our outdoor area has some new home made resources (the favourite is our beautiful boat), we have a lovely playhouse and a sand and mud area. My owls have access to water play and we have balls, Beanbags, skipping ropes, etc
I offer a wide range of activities from art to messy play, baking and helping to prepare snacks.
I teach my owls how to set and clear the table and their personal self help skills (putting own coat and shoes on, washing hands, etc)
I believe it is important for children to be able to explore and enjoy the great outdoors so we have lots of trips out to parks, woods, HAPPA, farms, walks along the canal and sometimes to the seaside.
We also visit soft play centres, sensory room , shops, library, etc
so all the children in my care can meet and make new friends and build on their social skills. We sometimes have trips further afield (zoo, sealife centre, beach, etc)
I provide a morning and afternoon snack and dinner, with the odd treat now and then. There is always milk and water offered throughout the day.
I have excellent references from past parents which are available for parents to read.
I can offer the funded nursery hours to all eligible children so there is no need to transfer your child to a nursery when they reach 3
My Experience
I have been registered since 2003 & in that time have looked after many children from different family backgrounds.
I have worked with a child with S.E.N. and have also cared for children with special needs
I attend as many varied training courses as possible and have also completed many online courses
I work closely with parents to ensure every child is happy & receiving the correct type of care according to their individual needs.
I have had parents returning to me with siblings of children I have previously cared for.

Half price is charged for my holidays
