About Me
Hi, I have been a Registered childminder for 15 years and have just been given Outstanding in all 3 areas on my latest inspection. I am also a Network Childminder, I live in South Reddish. I have 3 children of my own, who are 29, 22 and 18 years old. My husband Gary is also registered as my assistant and helps out occasionaly when he is not at work. I cover St Marys C of E Primary School and Reddish Vale Nursery. I love animals and encourage the children in my care to be caring and gentle with the pets. We have a cocker spaniel called Jax, 2 cats and sometimes fish but we are not doing very well with them, all the animals are very friendly and fully vaccnated.
I have a large play room which is equipped with lots of different toys and equipment to meet the needs of all the children in my care. I have a large enclosed garden where the children can play out safely throughout the year.
My main priority whilst working with children is to ensure that all the children are happy and have lots of fun whilst in my care, I feel this encourages confidence and a high self esteem.
I do not believe in staying inside all the time, We enjoy attending local play groups and spend alot of time exploring the outdoors.
I do work through out the year but also happy to take term time only children.
My Experience
I have worked with children for 15 years now and wish I had gone into childcare a lot sooner.
I have worked with children who have severe disabilities and with children who have specific dietary needs all children in my care are treated as individuals and I treat all children and their families with equal concern and respect.
The children I presently have in my care have been with me from being 6 months old are now growing into independent, confident individuals who are getting ready for nursery and school.
I have strong friendly working relationships with all my parents, which has been built on trust and honesty.
