About Me
I have been an OfSTED registered childminder since June 2010. open 46 weeks a year.
I have 20 years’ childcare experience working mainly in nursery settings, and I still couldn’t see myself doing anything else. Every day is different, fun and rewarding. I decided to try something new and become an independent childminder. I was awarded ‘Outstanding’ in my first Ofsted inspection report, June 2010.
I live in Shrewsbury in Shropshire. I have a lovely play spaces indoors and outside. I am fully insured and a member of ‘PACEY’, the professional association for childcare and early years.
I am registered to care for 6 children under 8 years of age.
I offer full day care, school holiday care, before and after school care, flexible childcare (inc overnight) and term time only childcare.
It is a legal requirement that I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage for all children under 5 in my care.
I aim to provide high quality care by planning, providing and taking part in play based activities that stimulate and support every child’s intellectual, physical, social, emotional and language development in my care, listening to, encouraging, enabling, stimulating and ensuring the safe keeping of all children.
My Experience
22 years working with children, I started my childcare career in 1998 as a nanny, my next role was a nursery practitioner, then Nursery Manager, I then went onto study at degree level to become an Early Years Teacher, now I am a childminder, I have been childminding since June 2010. I took a two year break after my youngest was born he is now two.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
Opening hours
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8am till 5.30pm
Longer hours and overnight care maybe available upon request.
Minimum charge 3 hours per day.
Prices include healthy snacks and drinks throughout the day.
Fees do not include lunch, baby milk or meals for under 1 year olds, nappies, wipes, pre-school fees or other entry fees unless agreed.
Holidays and Sickness
My holidays: No fee
Your holiday: if different from mine, full fee.
Bank Holiday: please add 25% to the above rates. All of the bank holidays I will take as holiday.
Please see calender of any holidays I have booked, as I will not be available on these dates.
Sickness or days off
If your child has a day off due to sickness, the full fee must be paid. If your child has long term sickness, then this of course will be negotiated. If I am unwell and unable to childmind there will be no charge, I will endeavour to assist with alternative arrangements for your child’s care.
