About Me
I am a fun, bubbly, organised and thoughtful person. I love working as a nanny.
I enjoy getting outside with the children in my care when the weather permits - walking, riding bikes, going to play parks etc. I equally enjoy doing activities indoors such as crafts, baking and soft-plays.
I believe I am capable of instilling appropriate discipline and boundaries with the children I look after, whilst still being able to keep a sense of fun and care, and also considering children's safety as a priority. I have always been capable of establishing good trusting relationships with both parents and children.
My Experience
I have babysat for a number of families from the age of 15. I have 18 years experience in childcare. I had many placements throughout 6th form and college within schools, nurseries and home settings.
I worked three days a week, long days, sole-charge, for 5 years for the same family (2008 - 2013). During this time, with my other two days and also at weekends, I have worked for a large number of other families. Positions I have undertaken have consisted of sole-charge, shared care, mothers help and proxy-parenting. I have worked weekends, daytimes, evenings and often stay overnight for with families.
I have had experience with children ranging in age from newborn to fifteen years.
I currently work regularly for 5 different families each week. Excellent references available! I am self-employed.
My Qualifications
Level 6, BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies.
Foundation degree in teaching and learning support.
Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education.
GNVQ in health and social care.
Up to date paediatric first aid.
Food hygiene certificate.
I am OFSTED registered.
Many DBS checks!
