About Me
I have been a registered childminder for 25 years and have been working in the field of care and education for 36 years. My own family are grown up now and I have 4 wonderful grandchildren. I hold enhanced DBS check.
I have been graded 'outstanding' in 3 inspections.
I offer a fully inclusive service and am commited to meeting the individual needs of each child.
I meet all the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage and am an approved ECAT setting. I believe that children learn best through play in a loving, flexible and child centred environment .
I am able to claim the Government Funding entitlement for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. I also accept childcare vouchers and am registered to accept Government tax free childcare payments.
I am a member of PACEY and fully insured. I have an 7 seater car which is fully insured for business use and fitted with a variety of correctly fitting child safety seats. This allows us the freedom to get out and about on a daily basis both locally and on trips that take us further afield.
My Experience
I qualified as a Nursery Nurse and a General Nurse many years ago. I taught childcare and education and first aid to 16+ students for many years before returning to working hands on with young children (what I enjoy the most).
I have cared for many children (other than my own) between the ages of 2 weeks and 11.5 years. I have been a registered childminder for 25 years and have references available on request.

Foundation Degree in Early Years
I regularly update my training in areas such as paediatric first aid, safeguarding children, food hygiene and behaviour management and also attend many other training sessions covering a range of relevant topics (certificates are available to view).
My Availability
My usual working hours are 8 am to 5.15pm but i try to flexible if possible.
